I read that John Harbaugh mentioned Fred Warner about how the Niners picked him in the third round and that a lot of teams didn't have him as a draft-pick guy. Thought that was Interesting.

A lot of teams didn't have Warner as a 7 round draft able player? What was his pre draft prediction? I thought he was a round 3-5 guy?

He played a position in college that doesn't exist in the NFL, so some people struggled to project him as a stack LB in the NFL.
But all the traits were there, and he shined as a stack LB at the Senior Bowl. I thought he was a day-2 player and slotted him to be our pick at 70. Everything played out perfectly.
I'd bet everything I own that if the 49ers didn't draft Freddy, he was 100% going to be a Patriot. He's a Belichick-type player through and through.

HAH !!
I remember when I had him going to us in the 4th round .. . I always thought Warner, Van Noy and Ansah would be AWESOME in the NFL...
I still see a lot of Seau (RIP) from Warner the way he's all over the field.

I love the shot of Warner laughing at Rodgers in this last packers game!

I think this is my favorite player right now. Just something about a middle linebacker, like a defense just ain't a defense unless you got that beast in the middle plugging holes and making sideline to sideline tackles.

Another crazy game for Freddy. He's quickly ascending into the upper echelon of LBs.

I'dextend him right now. Let him get to the end of his rookie deal and we're going to have to back the Brinks truck to his house

Can they after the year? It'll be the end of his second season. He's not a first rounder.

He is just an outstanding super star player. From his speed and length in coverage, to his instinctive and hard hitting tackling in the run game. Plus he is smart and knows how to command the defense. He has been representing all the way from his days in High School here in San Diego where he was one of the best players in the county to BYU to the 49ers. He has been a star at every level.
