Would you care to summarize why? I am just looking for someone to change my mind on one of these picks... I feel like we could have got all of these guys plus one if we didn't trade up, and I felt like there were better players on the board..... Pettis looks fast on tape though, but I wish I had accurate combine numbers as if he were healthy
Perhaps I sound more skeptical than I intended, but on Pettis my concern is mainly his frame. I worry about injuries and his overall strength/durability, but in terms of raw talent and football IQ, he has the tools to succeed if he remains healthy and works at his craft. I don't think he winds up like AJ Jenkins, but I also don't think he's going to be a dominant #1 WR in the NFL.
Moore has great straight line speed and should start out well on STs no doubt. Somewhat a concern, he put up a mere 7 reps on the bench at his pro day so he will have to get stronger at the NFL level. Ideally, should add a minimum of 6-10 pounds to that frame. I would like to see what he can do at CB, and if he winds up a contributor at both spots, this is a nice pick.
Was looking at the original posts in this thread. To recap my thoughts then:
1) Warner + McGlinchey = good picks
2) Pettis concerned me with a potential lack of strength, durability, and he would have to really work to be successful.
3) Moore should be good on STs (he's a great gunner currently), and if he can contribute at both CB/S, it'll grade as a good pick.
