he's average at best..
i'd put Ward right in the middle of the league, about the 16th best FS. Plays with good technique, doesn't allow anything deep, is not a playmaker, doesn't really have those wow plays or turn the tide in a game. I don't think he's horrible or anything but he's just ok/fine

He's been doing that at whatever position he plays on defense. IIRC this dude whiffed hard in the Baltimore game in 2019. Why oh why didn't they just give his spot to Griffin or Hilliard.

Hes also the only defender that made a play vs Baltimore (stripped Lamar)

I don't think his one play held their offense to just 17 points. And one play doesn't make up for a career of miss tackles.

all the anti-Marcell loves to point the above miss tackle or the TD he gave up against the Saints which was his first NFL action that counts..

but no one is talking about the great play he made taking the ball out of Raven's QB on the way to the endzone..

Big deal, even Dontae Johnson had a pick 6, that don't make him good.

the POINT is that Marcell has not gotten the chance that WARD has been given... but wait... oh, that's right... Ward was a 1st rounder and that's the excuse as to why he's been given chances after chances..

Harris has had to start a few games in each of his first three years due to injury. His play in those opportunities did not show us a starting caliber of player whatsoever. A few good plays sure but those were outweighed by
not so good to downright bad plays

He also has had opportunities every year to unseat the guys in front of him and has failed to do that. Ward is also our FS, Harris was not a fit at FS here, his fit was at SS.

The "Oh sh*t" moments weigh heavily.

The coaching staff loves Ward. He plays hard and is their Swiss Army knife in DBs. He can play FS, SS, slot, and corner. He's their kind of guy. He's probably a good teammate too which is good for the young guys.

im hoping the 1-4 team make it through the season intact. That would be impressive.
