Greg Papa - 49ers' play-by-play caller

That's crazy - replacing Papa who is an institution with Musburger - who is on his last legs.

I love it when you call me Greg Papa.

Has Papa still been doing his 95.7 show since this was announced? Anybody know what he has said about all this?

I just listened to his segment on their website. He basically said he got fired because he was too loyal to Al and every time Mark made a move that Al never would in a million years, like considering Mike Shanahan for HC, he would criticize him on 95.7 and it pissed mark off. He said he saw the writing on the wall. He thought hiring gruden back would smooth out the riff but Mark wasn't having it. He asked him to let him stay on until the vegas move, but Mark said he wanted to do it 2 years back so these past 2 years were the favor and he sent him packing.

Yeah, it's the same thing that happened back when he was the Warriors radio play by play guy. He would just roast the GM and owner on the radio so when Cohen bought the team they just had enough of him.
