Same. I was a fan of Ian Williams and was happy he got an extension as an UDFA, but sad he never got to cash in because of that cheap shot he took and all the complications that came from it. I hope he's good at this new gig. Former players that are good analysts are the best.

I'd take Papa/Whitner as our broadcast team over Robinson/Ryan any day of the week. It would be a little weird hearing the voice of the Raiders doing niners play by play, but he's an ultimate pro, I'd grow to love it. Bring in Bubba Paris to do pre and post-game on NBCBA. He was hilarious on the point after, he'd be great interviewing players.

Nice to see Papa cover the niners and I think Whitner will be great too but I wonder if this means Dennis Brown is done.

Amazing having Papa host the 49ers pre-game show on NBC Sports Bay Area.

He's even wearing a red shirt and khaki jacket.

It would be yet another middle finger to the Raiders fans and organization he came over to be our play by play guy.
Damon Bruce said it best yesterday (and I am paraphrasing). The Raiders are such a mess that even Greg Papa wants nothing to do with them.

7/19 Update: Papa is no longer with the Raiders:
What do you guys think about bringing him in?
I love Papa. The guy is smooth, energetic, and very, very knowledgeable. He'd be a massive upgrade over Ted Robinson.
It all came true.
Huge upgrade of Ted Robinson. And it pisses off Raiders fans so that's always a plus
