Papa's voice puts me asleep and he's a traitor. Glad I have a television.

Papa sounds and looks like a lawyer. He's literally the voice of the Raiders. Im thoroughly confused at how so many Niner fans are excited he's taking over. Robinson wasn't anything special, but he wasn't THAT bad..
Robinson was a joke. 7th grade history teacher announcing football. Papa will bring energy the booth has lacked since Starkey.

They're excited over Papa because theyre idiots who don't understand talent or lack there of. I would have asked Tim Roye to give it go before that drab , monotoned fossil Papa.

More and more time goes by, and the truly irreplaceable voice of Joe Starkey continues to echo in our memories. Absolute legend.

I hope Papa can create some memorable calls for years to come like Starkey did. Robinson had one at least but overall I've found him to be pretty bland. Hoping for the best.

What are you smoking Robinson is a great announcer. Not necessarily for football but he's a master play-by-play guy for things like the Olympics and tennis. Also does some basketball. So he's actually way more versatile than Papa who only does football.

Greg Papa is a superb football announcer' the closest to the legendary Bill King that the Bay Area has known since. The Niners are extremely fortunate that he was available. That being stated, the team deserves credit for recognizing his talent and jumping forward to get him when the Raiders stupidly let him go for Brent Musburger (and an order of fries)...

Cheers!

Papa has also done baseball play by play as well as basketball (the Warriors). He is an outstanding basketball announcer. Many feel it was a huge mistake when the Warriors let him go (including me).

Papa got let go because of his rift with ownership. Or do you really think Brent Musberger is a huge upgrade? Lmao.

Yup, Papa was fired by the Raiders because he publicly questioned Mark Davis. Papa basically said his loyalty to the Raiders died with Al Davis.
