jd, what you think about the 3rd & 17 that DET converted? You mentioned Cover6 in your OP so I thought you might cut it up. Watching the telecast it looked like KWilliams was vertically stretched and gave up the intermediate. But I don't know why Warner decided to pressure Stafford instead of getting his head on a swivel and possibly matching the intermediate route. But I don't know if the coverage call requires Warner to match like how a Hook defender would match a crosser in certain Cover3 calls (i.e. Foster matching crossers as a Hook defender).
The cover 6 was in reference to the play I cut up that gave up the TD. I might touch on some more defensive plays in a few hours.
Okay cool. I just watched the 3rd & 17 again and I don't think it's Cover6 now. Cover3 got busted by Switch Verticals.
Yeah, it was a switch/wheel route from Tate and K'Waun was in no man's land while we were in cover 3. Not sure how they're coached to do it, but AW ran with a post route, not sure if he's supposed to do that all the time or pass it off to the FS. Considering how many times we run with that route, I assume he was supposed to, the failure of the stunt left the zones too far stretched. Again, not sure whey we didn't run quarters there? The poor execution on the stunt allowed Stafford to step up and have time to find the guy.
