So... Uncle Sherm claims Saleh called a perfect game and individual players just had brain farts, does the film confirm that or is he just blowing smoke up our butts?

He probably believes it, or did believed it when he said it. Anyway, you want your players to hold themselves accountable for their own execution, rather than complain about what they can't control, like the coach's play calling.

Breakdowns definitely happened, although you can blame Saleh for putting guys in positions where they're making costly mistakes.
A great example was posted by jonnydel, post #36. Jonny laid the blame on the play-call, but, as has been argued, the players went about executing the play-call without a common-sense regard for situational down and distance. Sherm definitely alluded to this play at his Wednesday press conference, here around 3:30
Hey, has anyone brought up the Stafford is something like the all time leader in 4th quarter come backs? I say that to say maybe the Niners 4th quarter defensive meltdown was not as bad as it seems.

The 4th quarter meltdown came down to one play: 3rd and 17.

Definitely a bad play. Had it covered then let Stafford escape and hit Tate, then Tate gets some RAC.
After that the offense went stagnant and the Lions marched right down the field again.
Tackling and getting off the field on 3rd down needs to improve in the worst way.

Can anyone comment on Fred Warner in this game? I think I heard his name once or twice, but he was basically invisible compared to week one. Anything worth noting on Fred? Did they scheme him out? Did they give him extra attention?

I guess I'll ask again.

Played a solid game. Didn't look like a rookie and it will be nice to have Foster next to him to clamp down on those RB's and TE's underneath. When you have two guys with speed and tackling in the middle it makes cover 3 really, really hard to beat because the biggest weakness is between the numbers underneath or intermediate outside the numbers. Intermediate outside the numbers, to get after it consistently, takes time on the pocket. So, if that's what a team can use to capitalize, your defense will have a good day.
Some scout breakdown wrote jimmy g was seeing ghost pressure in pocket...true? Was he seeing the whole field?

How good were WRs I'm getting open?

Really looking forward to the Foster/Warner combo.
When your MLB can cover open space quickly 15-20 yards off the ball

I think Mahomes is young and gun slinger enough to still test them doe

Jimmy has gotten some unwarranted criticism I think.

Ghosts? No.

I also read the film review article and I have some problems. He both wants Jimmy to wait on receivers and then magically move faster off of them too.

He wants Jimmy to hold onto Pettis in coverage for 5 seconds(no joke, I timed it) and wait for him after still didn't win on his first 3 moves.

Then, simultaneously, he wants him to move off of Kittle in less than 2 seconds on double move plays when he's the primary.

Cant have both.
This may be the only thread with sensible conversation.
I don't want to play in KC anymore, we haven't kept a game with in 30 I think for the last 3 times.....seriously though, KC's offense is 99 Ram impressive. Chunk play after chunk play.

I can't remember a good game. Wasn't the game where Julian Peterson shut down Tony Gonzalez at Candlestick?
Can someone explain to me what Jimmie Ward is doing here? The broadcasters were crapping on Fred Warner, and the only thing I see him guilty of is not rerouting 85. Reed got moved by Mahomes. So what the hell is Jimmie Ward doing?

My goodness I saw this play last night and thought the same thing. I think it's Cover3 and Ward is oblivious to the #2's release.
