1. Worst tackling I've ever seen
2. O-line just as bad as last year? Made a Anseh-less Lions defense look like the Vikings
3. Wide receivers not getting open
4. Awful red zone play and no well put-together drives; benefited from a huge kick return and Breida's TD
5. The serious confidence they over-achieved with in the last 5 games this year is now the reverse--they're playing even worse than they are...like a team that's scared and is no longer buying into their own hype and, instead, realizing "hey, we're really not good".
6. Injuries, injuries, injuries

Can we also talk about how much they had to rely on Stafford over-throwing and Lions receivers dropping the ball? That bailed them out A LOT.

This is a really BAD team.

Looks and plays like a Mike Nolan six-win team. The front office and staff need to be scrutinized for doing almost nothing other than lucking in to Garoppolo who looks like he'd rather be elsewhere too.

We got bailed out by penalties too. JG threw a really bad pass at a crucial time. The Lions pretty much beat themselves.

Yep. And let's also pepper in the Lions being on the road--halfway across the country--, on a short week.

I had faith with MckInnon they could get to 9 wins--mayyybe 10. After he went down it felt like 8. After the VIkes game, it felt like 7. This knocked it down to 5 or 6.

Wow man, it really does feel that way

Something needs to change quick or before we know it the season is lost. Maybe getting Foster and Goodwin win makes a difference

Lmao

We're not going 5-11.

Oh, one more thing. Thom Brennaman is horrible. I sincerely hope he isn't calling any more 49ers games because that was atrocious. From a shoddy understanding of the rules, to getting players names wrong(Fred Taylor?) to making some absurd, hopelessly nonsensical statements, it was a complete s**tshow from what is supposed to be a professional broadcaster. He needs to stick to baseball.

It was fun watching Spielman put him in his place on that out of bounds play that caused Blount to get ejected from the game.
The over-reaction in here is crazy! We won, we staved off a very good Stafford game and really had it not been for the 3rd and 17 pickup, we'd hsve won by 2 TDs.

We still aren't a playoff team, and neither are they, both teams will probably be 8-8 to 10-6 when it's all said and done.
the reality is sinking in.. we need more superstars, skill players to compete with top teams.. we are very few players away from greatness.. it all starts with the OL.. then pro bowl lever pass rusher and wide receiver.. i am not sold on McKinnon till i see him in niners offense but i hope he can carry the load full season..

He kept saying lions were "wide open" when there were niners right there. I get if he says well there's a window there.... But wide open means no one around

This. All of it.

Except the Lions being 8-8 to 10-6. I think they're going to have another 2012 season.
Hey we won. Celebrate today and look at the film tomorrow.

Glad I'm not the only one that was puzzled by his definition of wide open.

That whining about the hit on Stafford near the sideline was annoying. dude was genuinely disgusted the refs didn't throw a flag. But Stafford was still in bounds and bracing for the hit. His own fault for not stepping out.

Hey, if last week's loss (not to mention our o-fer-whatever it was start last year) is yet one more of our string of Moral Victories (TM) for you optimists, allow us pessimists to call yesterday's sloppathon a Moral Defeat (also TM).

I am delighted with a win of course (to the point of waking the wife by punching the air a little too vigorously at the end, albeit silently), but it didn't change my conviction that we're still, well, a wee bit s**te as they say here in Scatlin'.
Something I noticed, I don't remember if it was spoon ward or Williams but they didn't get enough depth on a play to cover a deep route. The LB was really late coming over to cover the shallow route and the DB tried covering both which really created both WRs to be open. Stafford threw the deep route for a TD.

This is the stuff I hope we clean up.

Meh, I'm happy they won, but I think the Refs helped much more than I'd like for that. Tackling was atrocious - when the pass rush forced a dump off to a RB, the defense couldn't tackle and prevent RAC's. Disappointed in that.

This stupid announcer had money on the Lions. You can tell he wanted the Lions to cover the 6.5 point spread in Vegas
