Who knows, maybe if Buckner was on another team, he would be a 15 sack player. What if we just don't know how to use defensive personnel?

Actually the last 2 drafts have been good compared to the 3 or 4 before. Most of the guys from 2012-2016 never did much at all and many are out of the game. At least we have a few guys from the last 2 years that can play. McGlinchey, Warner, Buckner, and Kittle are all good players. The trade for Jimmy and free agent signings of Breida and Mckinnon(maybe) are all better than the previous regime. Hav ing said that there is still a lot of room for improvement. We still need a couple of impact guys on defense and a red zone receiver that we can count on. Can't be going to Kittle every time.
Bothers me that guys like Maddog routinely would have better drafts than our actual high paid big budget scouts/management.

Seriously. Sad.

I watch about 4 college games a year (in short, I know nothing) but use MD's board and track draft visits (pSQARQ) to anchor mock drafts and I've done substantially better myself over the years. That's not a good thing.

I agree some have hit but the ones that should be making the big difference the top picks have done much of nothing. Seems with the niners incompetence at selecting talent in the first round they would be better suited trading out of the spot and getting numerous draft picks that they can squander in the latter rounds.

Buckner was drafted by Baalke in 2016. Kittle is great but that 2017 draft is looking terrible thus far.
1) The ownerships ego..
2) Picking Baalke over Harbaugh.
3) Thus this 10-15 year plan we are in.

Cowboys are straight up trash tho.
They're only playoff bound because Alex Smith went down.

Same Crack he was smoking when he hired Singletary....
I feel the draft pick most want is Bosa. Imo the biggest lack on defense is Saleh, his coaching and tactics are abysmal. I think I would trade down a spot and pick Quinnen Williams and continue trading down as long as I could take him. We might be able to trade down 3 spots if Qbs are in short supply. I think Williams and Defo can disrupt passing and have more consistent pressure than having Bosa. Also I think Williams will have a much better career. I also feel Williams could handle edge with his speed and power.
