Yeah I thought that all 49ers games were sold out every week but I was reading that wrestlemania had more attendence. I wonder why the seats arent filled every week. I'm not sure on the max capacity either.
The stadium. And the fact they're not in San Francisco anymore.

Fans in the south bay don't mind them being in Santa Clara. The stick was a crappy stadium that was never really meant for football. The city of SF dragged their feet and never could come up with a viable plan for a new stadium. The new stadium is much better for seeing the game and the history will come if the team can become a consistent winner.
Nothing bothers me except if Witherspoon starts ... he can play on ST though

the fans. illogical, whiney, and short-sighted.

This x 1000. Far to many fans want instant gratification, and see nothing wrong in firing and replacing the head coach and GM every year or two because they are to impatient to wait for the team to be properly rebuilt. This just keeps setting us back each time. Sorry kids, but that is just the way the world works....it takes time and long term vision to succeed. I love those fan's passion for our team, but they are sooooo unrealistic in their expectations.

we were right

your debbie-downer pessimism for all those years, was wrong.

we weren't homers. we weren't optimists. we were realistic.

you should've listened to us...
Garoppolo throwing one Interception per game kind of worries me. Thankfully, our running game is elite

I know that was many years back, but what did Alex Smith meant when he said the organization (49ers) were completely dysfunctional. Was he talking about the Nolan/McCloughan era or Harbaugh/Baalke era? The York family was in control and is still today, were they also involved to cause the dysfunction?

I respect Alex Smith and I don't think he would lie about this.

Well I guess you have to start at the top. Wonder boy can throw this greatness into the darkness real fast. Enjoy it while you can.

I would assume they would add thousands of seats by filling in the grass around the tiny Ring.

It is almost like the coaching staff and front office knew more than we did...?

I said this in the beginning and I will say it again: They need more experience at the top and in the coaching staff. It was a bad move to hire a first time GM and a first time HC. Peters has done an ok job but i think they could use more experience in that department.

Shanny's coaching staff is a bunch of who's whos. This coaching staff is rather pathetic. Every single defensive coach should be let go and most of his offensive coaches should do the same. The staff he has assembled here is straight up abysmal.

These quotes did not age well.

Not having more RINGS. We had legit teams and awesome individuals who deserved it, but never got em.

This is another SB type team, hopefully this year is different...

bunch of fans who expected things to turn around over night. bunch of fans who cried and complained about how we were losing completely ignoring the fact Jimmy tore his ACL week 3. fans who could never for some reason see the bigger picture and think long term as opposed to instead only paying attention to the wins/losses and nothing else. not WHY we were losing. not HOW we were losing. the 49ers never got blown out and barely lost the past 2 years. but fans were like, "mORALE viCtorIEs donT couNT". no one was saying that. however context was key. the team was competitive. but the debbie-downer cry babies were already giving up on Shanahan before giving him a fair chance. not taking in consideration he and Lynch had to start from the ground up.

I was never concerned that we were losing in 2017, and then 2018. because I had REALISTIC expectations. we had a makeshift roster in 2017 that was just getting stared and a stopgap QB until we got our franchise QB. 2018 we lost jimmy. still needed more pieces on defense. season sucked. but i was hoping for that high draft pick when Jimmy went down. already knew 2018 season was over. and behold, we get Bosa. which we never would have gotten if Jimmy hadn't gone down.

everything happens for a reason. Jimmy tearing his ACL turned out to be a blessing in disguise. (the players literally said this themselves yesterday...)

I supported Shanahan and company day 1 and never wavered. yeah losing sucks and is tough, but A. we WERE competitive B. needed more time/talent/ C. Jimmy tore ACL, so more losing... obviously..

some fans just couldn't comprehend or see this. tried to explain this to them as those seasons were transpiring. oh well.

I'm bothered that the cheerleaders are called The Gold Rush. That name should be reserved for a defensive line that gets lots of sacks. The cheerleaders should be called The Golden Girls, or the Gold Glitter or anything else besides The Gold Rush.
