agree about the class of 2017. foster needs to be shut down. there is no sure bet he will be ok. he had those flags coming out of college. i am off the thomas bandwagon,. i know taylor has a bad back but i think the nfl figured him out. as well as our tiny wide outs. to many got fooled into a false sense of non reality with the little win streak last year, including lynch and kyle

All wins. The next 5 games I would say atleast 4 more.

That's 8-3 or at worst 7-4

However this year we would've been just a wildcard most likely and lost in the playoffs. But with Jimmy G you never know. I'm really looking forward to next year I hope we're healthy. What really bothers me is playing some of these players out of position. Thomas, reed, even Moore at cb. Hope that works out but dam.

So a lot of us predicting we would have a winning record going into the bye week weren't too far off. Just one humongous injury away

I'm mad that all the fun of being a Niners fan happened before I qas old enough to become a fan. All I've had to enjoy is incompetence and close losses in big games. And it sucks that I don't really ever expect that to change.

Ah I feel much better now

Believe me, stay loyal and when the next SB title finally comes it will be that much sweeter. I had 28 years of frustration before we won that first title and even though they were all great that first one was the best.

Bro, how old are you?

Cracks or not that is besides the point. If we had him we still would've won those three games for sure and the next five I would say are as close to a lock as you can get. Haven't you seen our schedule? Besides at Seattle at the schedule looks pretty easy especially for a good quarterback like Jimmy G. And the three after that look pretty easy because the Bears quarterback in my opinion is pretty damn horrible and a liability. Damn this injury just murdered us this year but it is for the greater good because now we will get a great pass rusher in the draft

At the risk of living in the past..... If you watch some of the routes run, and the formations used. I think some of that would work with protection, or giving CJ someone to dump the ball off or move the chains quickly. It was so beautiful, a nice well oiled machine.

This is true, but there were so many concepts and formations used by the 49ers that would still work today. I'm sure you could add some RPO and other concepts to what our offense was in 90-97ish.

last year all we heard was how we should have won close games before jimmy and how our record should have been this or that. our team had issues before he got hurt and there is no proof we could have or should have won that talk is just silly in my opinion. woulda coulda shoulda. best 1-6 team in the nfl . leading the nfl in moral wins last year before jimmy etc. the nice thing with jimmy is that we found ways to win. cept for the vikings. the chiefs game was lost from the start because of course the team was not ready to play.. speaking of things that upset me with kyle. all to often under this regime. we find ways to lose games. we are a one win team and should not be so arrogant to think any team is easy for us to beat. have you seen our team in the last few years. we tend to make below average teams and players look all pro against us. and i have lost confidence that lynch knows what to draft and even if he does. do you really have confidence in the dc or defensive coaches. if they stay. to develop that person?

They don't go after needs. We go for scheme fits.

We are constantly "aggressively prudent" in free agency. Not sure who fed John Lynch that line. It was probably either the Yorks or Paraag. Gotta save that cash!!! I am pretty sure Baalke was thrown under the bus for his "prudence" in free agency as well. Like when he signed Zane Beadles and got a bargain. Great deal! Or like their prudence when they didn't re-sign Eric Reid and gave him a low-balled contract offer. Well we sure could use him now......since Tartt is average at best.

We sign mid-tier free agents, and expect to find diamonds in the rough. Most of the time, they are just not that good. This is the result that happens when you go bargain bin shopping. Jeremiah Attaochu? You thought this guy would be the answer to our EDGE needs, and he can't even beat out Marsh. If you can't even beat out Marsh, then that is just sad.

Save for Bill Belichick calling us and offering us a franchise QB, my confidence in this FO to make the right moves is diminishing with each passing week. We thought that the 2017 draft was pretty good because we beat 5 teams last year that had nothing to play for. Now, most of them are exposed.

We draft projects in the draft, when we can't afford to do it.

Kentavious Street? Redshirt year. Project. Though, I think he could be a good player for us next year IF everything works out. But our track record with ACL picks is almost zero, save for Frank Gore.

Tarvarious Moore? He was a safety in college. We are trying him at CB in the pros. Project.

And finally, I don't like being a debbie downer, but people will tell me I come off that way. I just don't see how anyone thinks this is a playoff roster even assuming everyone was healthy (Jimmy G, McKinnon). I could see maybe 6 or 7 wins at best. We would beat bad teams, and lose to the good ones with more talent than us. We are just out talented on many spots in the roster.

I do not want anyone fired. For people who read my post and think I am all for that. You are dead wrong. Save for maybe a change in defensive coordinator, I'm okay with bringing everyone back. But its clear to me that these guys in charge are losing my respect. Need to be MUCH MUCH better next off-season, or more people will be bringing the pitchforks and flying banners over the stadium again.

the fans. illogical, whiney, and short-sighted.

This x 1000. Far to many fans want instant gratification, and see nothing wrong in firing and replacing the head coach and GM every year or two because they are to impatient to wait for the team to be properly rebuilt. This just keeps setting us back each time. Sorry kids, but that is just the way the world works....it takes time and long term vision to succeed. I love those fan's passion for our team, but they are sooooo unrealistic in their expectations.

I don't know what you guys are talking about? I haven't read one post advocating KS to be fired? If not KS, then who are you referring to? Should we have kept Sing, Tomsula or maybe you had an affinity for Erickson? The only guy this board couldn't wait to get rid of was Harbaugh after his 8-8 season.

are you new to the webzone?

BECAUSE it's true. ALL we were missing in those close games WAS a QB. and that was proven when we started WINNING those tight, and close games with Jimmy. imagine what our record might've been last year had we started with JG in week 1.....

he made things look better for a few games. it covered up some areas we struggled in. and in my opinion. the regime got fooled into thinking those areas were fixed and i think lynch and kyle read their own headlines from the media crowning the niners in the off season. woulda could shoulda maybe is not reality.

So true, I don't think anyone really believes we would not be 4-3 with Jimmy Garoppolo. He is right though there are some holes in our team but that's almost every team and that doesn't mean we would not be 8-3 or 7-4 in a few weeks not to mention The rest of our games would of been easily winnable, that is counting the Rams resting their starters week 17. I only see one game in there at Seattle but if we have Jimmy Garoppolo, there is a great chance to win that one as well.

Dammit this year really got screwed up and we have such an easy schedule coming up. Seriously look at every game left? Assuming the Rams rest their starters week 17 do you see any games that would be difficult for us to win with Jimmy Garoppolo?
