I rode in an elevator with Lee Woodall at a Hotel
Met Frank Pollack and Dwight Clark
Met TO at a signing at Town and Country 49er store. He was a rookie or second year player and he was sitting out in the parking lot at a folding table all alone. My wife and I walked up and set a 49er jacket on the table for him to sign and he signed it without even looking up or saying a word. Then a guy walked up with a pizza for him and then he looked up.
Met Bryant Young in a restroom at our church.
Saw Elvis Grbac in a bookstore buying books on serial killers.
I did a job at Ronnie Lotts house when he was adding on a gym and my boss and I were putting mirrors on the wall with a stuff called mastic which is like thick black tar in a can. My boss dropped the mastic scoop onto the brand new light purple and gray carpet and got this mastic on it. He was down on his hands and knees scrubbing with laquer thinner trying to get it off moaning "Oh no, oh no, oh no, oh no". I was so stressed I started to laugh so I went out to the truck and Ronnie Lott was walking/limping up to the jobsite. This was the Wednesday after the Monday night game against the Giants and he was all banged up so I tried to stall him asking how long he stayed sore after games etc. Then I asked if he would sign two of his trading cards for me and he said, "pick one", and I said,"just sign your favorite", and he said, "They're both me", and signed them both. My boss aventually came out alive so I guess he got it cleaned up. I'm sure the laquer thinner had to damage and break down the carpet eventually.
Not me but my Father-in-law was walking down the street in SF and saw Joe Namath. He loudly said HEY! BROADWAY JOE"! Joe Namath said "Yeah" and stopped to talk and my father-in-law just kept on walking.

- Ran into Frank Gore in the casino in New Orleans the day before the Super bowl. He and his group walked past in Miami Hurricanes gear. I walked past in all red 49ers stuff and he said, "nice outfit" as he passed.
- Was out at a buddy's bar the night before the Super bowl in New Orleans (used to live there) and stepped out for a smoke sometime in the early morning. Alex Smith was standing outside holding his young son. My buzzed self blurted out, "holy s**t, it's Alex Smith" without thinking. He made eye contact and had a look of "s**t, just trying to sightsee with my kid." I waited a minute and then shook his hand and said, "thank you for all you have done over the years. We wouldn't be here without you. Good luck wherever you end up starting next year."
- Went to school, had classes with and interviewed countless times everyone's favorite preseason QB, Nate Davis.
- Not a 49er but back when I lived in New Orleans and was a journalist I covered high school football for the Times-Picayune. Covered a few Isidore Newman games. It's not only the high school of the Mannings but when I covered them Odell Backham Jr was their star WR.
- I went to a MAC school and covered football for the newspaper. Interviewed Antonio Brown a few times while he was in college.

What year was this? Cool story!
I met Parrish as well, when he came out to Diego Garcia back in late 2014 as part of Armed Forces Entertainment. There was another ex NFL player from the Chiefs, forgot his name, as well as several cheerleaders from various teams.
He was great to talk to and down to earth. He brought a Niner jersey and Bear jersey specifically for those fans to take pictures with.......thought that was cool of him to do.
And yes, four years ago at whatever age he was.......he looked like he could still be in the league.
Same time frame 2013-2016 we would see him out at the same spots as us. That's awesome you got to talk to him too. Very humble. That's some funny stuff right there. I think we are on the same path. First RW and now this Did we just become best friends?!!!!! Yup!!! Hey I forgot to ask, do you like guacamole?
I do.
Now gotta go to Sao Paulo, watch NFL at a proper bar, chasing Brasileiras while making fun of RW (whether he's playing or not)...
My brother's wife and my cousin's wife both hate RW because they were told to.
