- Ran into Frank Gore in the casino in New Orleans the day before the Super bowl. He and his group walked past in Miami Hurricanes gear. I walked past in all red 49ers stuff and he said, "nice outfit" as he passed.

- Was out at a buddy's bar the night before the Super bowl in New Orleans (used to live there) and stepped out for a smoke sometime in the early morning. Alex Smith was standing outside holding his young son. My buzzed self blurted out, "holy s**t, it's Alex Smith" without thinking. He made eye contact and had a look of "s**t, just trying to sightsee with my kid." I waited a minute and then shook his hand and said, "thank you for all you have done over the years. We wouldn't be here without you. Good luck wherever you end up starting next year."

- Went to school, had classes with and interviewed countless times everyone's favorite preseason QB, Nate Davis.

- Not a 49er but back when I lived in New Orleans and was a journalist I covered high school football for the Times-Picayune. Covered a few Isidore Newman games. It's not only the high school of the Mannings but when I covered them Odell Backham Jr was their star WR.

- I went to a MAC school and covered football for the newspaper. Interviewed Antonio Brown a few times while he was in college.

This is crazy!

Best part is I had gym class with him at BSU and was put on his team in ultimate frisbee. Caught a few TDs thrown from him.
Met Lynch, P Manning, Jeff Saturday and Goodell last year in Indy at St Elmo's steak house. Lynch bought our tables alcohol and there were 20 of us.

Those were all jobs in college/post college years haha. Sadly, I'm Indian (Punjabi) like a good handful on this board
So many of you guys have cool stories! I cannot believe most of you have met that many niners, that's awesome. It's funny when people say the best moments of their life is getting married or this or that, mine would probably be meeting some of these players 😂 that's why we are true fans
Merton Hanks at a Charity basketball game in Hawaii.

Bob St Clair at the AZ Empire tailgate in 2009.

Jesse Sapolu at same charity basketball game.

Vernon Davis at the Las Vegas Premium Outlets.

Roger Craig at a Superbowl party in Las Vegas

Charles Haley at the iheart music daytime village concert

Bubba Paris at a signing in San Francisco

I was also at the AZ Niner empire pre-game party at McFaddens when Joe and Jerry was there but didnt formally meet them.

Played against Kaep in HS so I guess you could count that although I had no idea who he was at the time. I probably hi fived him during the "Good Game" postgame part.

Thats about it for 49ers

Played black jack with Matt Schaub, met Tony Romo, John Elway and saw Alex Smith and a bunch of other guys at the Tahoe Celebrity golf tournament.

Bump for the offseason. I shared this story in the Alex Smith thread a couple months ago. Saw him in February(?) when my younger kid played his kid in a soccer game in Woodside, CA. I didn't actually talk to him because I wasn't sure it was him when he walked by me. Then I got confirmation when I spoke to one of the parents on the other team. He was hanging out with the parents from the other team chopping it up during the game so I didn't bother to go say hi. My son's team beat his son's team, like 4-2 or something (11 year old kids).

That's dope. I saw Alex and his entire family at a mall in downtown San Diego. They were eating outside just below us. I didn't bother him. IIRC, he lives there...went to Helix HS.

I met Moseley and Ward at the hotel last year the day before the Seattle game (Trey ankle break). Caught a ball from Deebo in the stands too which was dope (wife filmed it). Ward was still rehabbing but a super nice guy. I told Moseley to punch the bully (Metcalf) in the mouth. He'll back down...got a weak psyche. He had 4 catches for 35 yards. I was very proud. Sad to see his injury and then leave.

There are some awesome stories in here.

I got to meet Joe montana once. It was awesome. My mom met him at a restaurant once with his wife back when he was still playing.

back in 2008 or 2009, when I was still in highschool, montana was privately tutoring the qb at Cardinal NewMan highschool. They played Oakdale high that season in our first three games, can't remember which. We went toe to toe with them and lost by a point or so.

anyways, our school announced that montana would be in the stands and to leave him alone. I obviously said Eff that. Hahaha I found him and sat near him. Eventually I just walked up to him and said I was a big fan and I'd like to shake his hand, I think he respected that A young kid did that, and shook my hand. Then he left because everyone tried to do the same. I was the only person he did that with and a ton of people tried to shake my hand afterward. So strange but it was an awesome experience.
Brett Favre - played a round of golf with him. Decent golfer, shot 81.

Kellen Winslow Sr. - met him at a work thing. When I told him I was a 49er fan, he started hyping up Singletary, who had just become the HC.

Joe Montana at an autograph session he was doing. Told him that had the Niners traded Steve Young for Derrick Thomas and kept him, they would have won 2-3 more Super Bowls. He laughed and gave me a strong handshake lol. Also met Jerry Rice at a nightclub. It was in San Diego so not many people recognized him at first. But I said hello and he was super nice. Then my drunk buddy went all goofy and started trying to hug him, so he left the club
Haven't technically met any but Jeremy Newberry gave me a headnod at the old El Torito in Burlingame the night before a game in 2003 because he noticed I was wearing a Niners sweatshirt.
Saw Bubba Paris at an autograph stand at asparagus festival in Stockton chopping it up with a heavily tatted up gentleman with various white supremacist/nazi tattoos. When I went to ask Bubba if he would take a pic with my 3 year old nephew he got all indigent that I had not paid 🤣
