This is not true.

Anyway what does a WR who get's 1,400 yards (5th in the league) and leads the league in yards per reception cost? 4th in yards per game and yet 28th in receptions per game...when he touches the ball good things happen. He's a play maker anyway you slice it. WR included.

I'll bet money Deebo wants incentives in his deal for rushing yards or the amount of times he actually carries the ball. Not that he doesn't want to ever run it.

Well he did superstar wide receiver things like leading the league in YPC and 1400 yards while missing almost 3 games (the time he was held out in games and missed time/plays).

Also, before becoming essentially a RB, he was only behind Kupp in YPG and that's with WAY LESS TARGETS, with a worse qb. You could easily argue Deebo is a better wr by a decent margin. He didn't have the targets or qbs that Adams, Hill or Kupp had.

agreed

Deebo playing RB really polluted peoples minds on how great he is. Deebo the receiver is a top 10 in the league

Deebo is a top 10 WR without his RB skills/plays, he deserves that $25M a yr IMO, if he's willing to even do half RB wise that he did in 2021 then cool, uf not, cool, he's a #1 WR, Aiyuk can be too, need both long term, have no issue paying both $20M+ a yr with a rising cap.

If we sign Deebo then I'm cool with trading Aiyuk for assets. Not comfortable with paying two $20M salaries on WRs unless our offense moves from run first to pass first.

bet money against yourself and let us know who wins.

Agreed. Deebo Is without question a top 10 receiver ( possibly top 5 ) In this league. We need to get him extended as soon as possible to put our minds at ease.
I love the guy, but I think it's foolish to call Deebo an elite receiver. He's awesome as an offensive weapon, best in the league for sure. I'm not insulting the guy.

he doesn't have elite speed, elite route running, elite size, elite hands. He's got the best YAC potential in the league for sure, and he's a wrecking ball. That doesn't make him an elite receiver.

As a receiver/rb combo he is absolutely the best offensive weapon in the league.

as a pure receiver he wouldn't be the number one on any other team in the nfc west.

Don't care, don't care, don't care, don't care. Elite numbers say he is elite sorry he doesn't fit your preconceived notion of what makes an elite receiver. By the way I'm still waiting for you or Howlett to point out the clear and obvious evidence of McGlinchey tripping on the Tight End when CGJ bodied him

Right, screw elite speed, no one can take Deebo down 1 on 1, when he gets the ball, he's a wrecking ball. You don't need to be 6'0+ to be an elite WR either.

My preconceived notion? 🤣🤣🤣🤣.

I see where you got your forum name 👍🏻

I appreciate your opinion. I just disagree that he's a top ten receiver. I don't think he's a guy that demands a double team like an elite receiver would.

I don't think we all have to agree on this. I think we should pay him whatever is reasonable. I think his value would be lessened if he doesn't want to run the ball as much, and I think he'll be more prone to injury if he does run the ball as much 🤷🤷.

I think $22-25 mill is about right, but would hate to over-guarantee due to injury concerns

This. People forget he was only behind Kupp in YPG WITH WAY LESS RECEPTIONS AND TARGETS before we needed him at rb. That's also NOT considering he missed almost 2-3 games of time due to injury and limited snaps WITH a worse QB in Jimmy G throwing to him. All of the top wrs have WAY better qbs throwing them the ball. If Deebo switched teams with say Kupp, he would of shattered some records and been the offensive MVP imo.

Deebo wants the ball either way he can get it (maybe less up the middle) but he wants the contract to reflect it like you said.

Here's what Ramsey specifically said:

My three No. 1s are probably Davante, Tyreek, and Deebo. Them three for sure. They changed the game and the offenses are structured around them. Tyreek is put in multiple positions where he gets the ball, and the same with Davante. And not only that, when they do get the top dog, they can win those battles.

What do you know that Jalen Ramsey doesn't?
