Right, screw elite speed, no one can take Deebo down 1 on 1, when he gets the ball, he's a wrecking ball. You don't need to be 6'0+ to be an elite WR either.
I appreciate your opinion. I just disagree that he's a top ten receiver. I don't think he's a guy that demands a double team like an elite receiver would.
I don't think we all have to agree on this. I think we should pay him whatever is reasonable. I think his value would be lessened if he doesn't want to run the ball as much, and I think he'll be more prone to injury if he does run the ball as much 🤷🤷.
I think $22-25 mill is about right, but would hate to over-guarantee due to injury concerns
Here's what Ramsey specifically said:
My three No. 1s are probably Davante, Tyreek, and Deebo. Them three for sure. They changed the game and the offenses are structured around them. Tyreek is put in multiple positions where he gets the ball, and the same with Davante. And not only that, when they do get the top dog, they can win those battles.
What do you know that Jalen Ramsey doesn't?
To be fair, Ramsey attributed the high rank to Deebo's running ability and not necessarily from a pure receiving standpoint.
"And then Deebo, the way he's doing it all over the field with running back, he's definitely got to be in there."
What is a pure receiver?
When ranking a WR, you generally look at hands, route running, ability to separate from the DB. For example, Deebo was tied for second most drops in the league, which goes to his hands. As for separation, lots of his catches were short designed plays to him.
While Deebo is no slouch in these areas, his bread and butter is breaking tackles to get YAC and his RB skills.

Isn't making plays with the ball in his hands an elite trait. If he was catching a bunch of short passes then his 18.2 ypc is crazy. His hands need work. I distinctly remember a swag drop where he had his gloves Un strapped and the strap interfered. I do put more the blame or reasoning on a QB that has a limited skill set which in turn limited what Deebo could do.

Had no Idea who that was until now, thanks to Google.
Anyways, back to Deebo. You think he'll be extended before the season begins or nah?
