DK just signed, so Deebo must be next, right?
Same agent as Deebo too I believe, he reps DK, AJ, & Deebo.
Man I hope it would be a 4 yr extension.
I hope it's 5 years.
If it's a 5yr deal, then the 49ers will have to go deeper with GTD money, years wise.

and of course i will be at the front of the line AB if this happens while jimmy is still technically on the team.. i swore this could not happen with jimmy still here... i should know better than to go up against you. but you know,,,, you are talking to the guy whose parents installed two way locks on his bedroom door when he was little
Been saying it's possible.
AB, we can still extend Deebo even without trading or releasing Jimmy, right?
Yes, even if it is a 3yr extension, they can add void years in there to spread the bonus over 5yrs.

Maybe same plays out for Deebo Samuel/D.K. Metcalf
But 49ers have pushed for 5+ year extensions consistently with top players: Garoppolo, Ford, Armstead, Kittle, Trent Williams, Warner
This is more than likely the holdup
If the 49ers want 5yrs, they have to go deeper on the amount of years with GTD moneys usually they go 2-3. I hope this just gets done, I want a 5yr deal.
Yeah I just think his age and playing style play a part in it. He wants to hit the market for his 3rd contract still in his prime….while I would like a 4 yr extension (5yrs total) I don't see it as likely with the other deals Dandy got his guys

Yeah, and I think Deebo wants to keep it as short as possible.

My thoughts on a potential contract. My guess is 3 Years $78M and $60M Guaranteed. I reckon Deebo really wants another big contract a few years down the line. Like AB, I would prefer a 5 year deal but I think 3 is more likely. Check it out here if you can! Love and respect to the webzone for the support!
Agree, I think 3 is the probable scenario. The Franchise Tag, I think, can only be projected at least 2 or 3 years ahead (AB81 or somebody correct me if I'm wrong), and I think the Franchise Tag amount is the ceiling at which Deebo's agent can go. Personally, as much as I'd like a 5 year contract, Kyle got that with Garcon and got burned for it with Garcon getting permanently injured in Contract year 2.
Now if it's a 5 year contract, obviously Jimmy's cap space is going to help a ton in that scenario because the 49ers are going to have to front up much more guaranteed money than a 3 year contract.

I have doubts Deebo will be productive in his later years and 3 years should be his prime. Plus he gets injured a ton.
imo mistake for Deebo to bet on his durability. Also it's less money right now too.

I'm hoping for 4 or 5 years, 3 is too short. But, that's probably what he's looking for.
