I think he'll continue to do end arounds, but the wide back, I think is over for now.

I dunno. Deebo likes to win. I think Deebo would play Left Tackle if it would guarantee the 49ers a super bowl win.

Agree.

The whole anti wide back was a theory passed around by writers speculating. I haven't heard Deebo or his agent say anything negative about his type of touches.

Going to be a few crying posters having crow for dinner tonight that have constantly whined about not being able to sign Deebo unless we cut JG first.

Glad it got done in time for the first practice in pads.

Live look at the "they can't extend Deebo until they cut/trade Garoppolo crew" right now:

🤣

Yeah I wouldn't be shocked if Deebo has rushing incentives baked into his contract. If he's gonna get those kinds of touches he's should be paid accordingly.
Time to upgrade the TD chain.
Can someone help me with contract extension? To me it's 3 years added on top of his rookie deal?

2022 2,000,000
2023 26
2024 26
2025 26
2026 free agent??

so it's a 3 year extension at 76 million or we kept our best playmaker for 4 years 80 million when you factor in the last year of rookie deal. The true part is the high guaranteed money

With only 58.1 million of that guaranteed, its more like 19.37 million per year 2023-2025.
F all the SOB media clowns who continually spun the narrative his relationship with the team was in shambles. So it's (potentially) about 1.5 mill over Metcalf. I don't really mind it's only a 3-yr deal which means it's probably just effectively 2. Although maybe it really is 3 since he still had 1 year left on his current deal. Anyway just in time for first padded session, yay!

It's not as simple as taking the "up too" cash being reported and dividing it by the yrs.

we have him for 4 more yrs and he will be a FA after the 2025 season.

Put me down for thinking it isn't over but it will be done less and probably disguised better. Make it a surprise move not a featured piece of the offense.

I think guys like Ray Ray and Gray were brought in to help take the load off. Not too mention more back like TDP.

More money for doing less. Preserve his career. What about the running backs? Anyone worrying about preserving their career and paying them? His teammates know what to do now when they want to get paid. "Trade me." Build up plenty of "just pay the man" in the fanbase.
