I don't think he has ever had a problem with it. You watch his interviews from last season when he talked about being used as a running back and his face would always light up when talking about it. That being said, I don't think using him so much as RB is the long-term plan. I think He was only used like that as much as he was out of a necessity rather than that being his ideal use in this offense.

Playmakers want the ball in their hand as much as possible. This was never a usage issue.

to be fair let's not act like Deebo's agent couldn't have lied and leaked that Deebo was unhappy about being used as a RB purely for negotiating tactics.

Just yrs. SF loves 5yr extensions and Deebo being an older player coming out of college wanted a shorter deal to get that 3rd contract. 4 yrs total is perfect imo. Won't be shocked if there's a void yr in there to spread out some cash

I'd still prefer to see him used solely as a receiver and save those jet sweeps for when they're needed most. Hopefully the run game is clicking on all cylinders this season so we won't see Deebo used in that capacity as much.
