Here for sure...
Deebo didn't finish leading the league and we have more WRs than just deebo that can play just as good at WR

so yes we can add a decent WR, not avg and not skip a beat
that is not s**tting lol

my response is to all of your crying at the time about how this offense would pretty much fall apart without deebo.. i gave you a great example how BA and Jennings and grabbing another WR in the draft (if Deebo was traded)

That is s**tting, so is saying that he is no better than Aiyuk.
so lame.. again.. this is a response to your offense falling apart. i have 3 guys making up for Deebo to not skip a beat.. meaning if Deebo is gone

one thing for sure is that you don't like Jennings and Aiyuk

There is nothing from me in that quoted thread saying the offense would fall apart.

You did say that he could be replaced by an average WR.

of course you wouldn't add that, that would make you a liar lol

the same time as those posts, i also said you can't replace deebo.. it's all good

back to original post, these post proves nothing associated with the Deebo signing

I'm very sure Deebo playing RB wasn't the issue, per se. He's the type of player that gives 110% and is willing to put his body on the line.
Rather, I think the point of contention is that he wanted to be taken care of. Everyone knows the potential wear and tear of having him carry the ball 6-10 times a game. Deebo knows it. Shanahan & Lynch knows it. The fans & media knows it. Deebo most likely just wanted to know that he was taken care of so that he could go out and do his thing. Kittle had that sentiment when he explained his contract detail.

If you notice, yes, he's paid like a top 10 WR now. But the most interesting thing about it is, in comparison to the other deals signed, there's a lot more guaranteed money. Plus, he has incentives for rushing yardage and touchdowns.

The fact that we gave him a lot of guaranteed money implies that we have a level of commitment to him. We're not going to run him into the ground in Year 1 and then cut him the next year.
The fact that he has rushing incentives implies that we still intend to use him as a runningback. The yardage/touchdown benchmarks seem to reflect that we won't use him as heavily as we did in the last half of the season. Maybe a few carries a game... Deebo at RB should be a special package that they use sparingly.

Kyle knows all about that. They will never admit they were wrong either Deebo.

To add a little more... I don't necessarily think Deebo was fighting to get Top 5 average annual WR money or anything like that. His All-Pro nod and the general sentiment that he was the 49ers' MVP last season is enough evidence to show he's an elite player at his position.
I just think he wanted more guaranteed money.

And the reason why it was such a difficult negotiation was because there's really little precedent for how much you pay a WR that you can move all over the field and even play RB.
It sounds more like he was insulted by the first offer, if there even was an initial offer before asking for a trade.
This is just speculation but I still think it was the California theory. Just based on some of his previous comments. Like the " I am not training in no California", comment. I think he wanted to live somewhere else long-term. But once the team refused to give in to his demands for a trade, he really had no choice but to sign here. If he didn't sign with us, he risked losing out on so much money. Regardless of the reason he asked for a trade, he is with this team for years to come. It makes no difference to me now.

Likely. And then finally getting back together to talk (i.e. get back to the negotiation table) finally got it done.
