All the gushing and hero worship of Deebo is certainly earned. He's a true phenom, but there's one thing In discussing him that seems to be missing, or ignored. He drops or doesn't catch a fair number of very catchable balls. This may appear to be nitpicking, but if we're going to put a guy up on a pedestal, we should probably acknowledge the whole package. In the Carolina game alone, there were at least 3, if not 4, balls that he should have caught, as an elite or even a good receiver. And we know he's far better than just good. So, when I hear others comparing his hands to some of the greats, like Rice, I think they're being a bit premature.

That's always gonna be an "issue" with him. He attacks the ball at full speed and is always looking for yac. So it's gonna happen, but I'll take it as long as he keeps being such a great playmaker.

So we expect perfection from Jimmy but not Deebo. Got it.
well look whos deebo trying to catch passes from ...sorry NC set it up

There was one in the Panthers game where he should have caught it, right in his hands, he dropped it, I'm not worried about drop issues, it happens, all the best WRs & TEs have drop issues at times.

Exactly. It's a concentration thing. I would like to see focus a bit more and lay out for a couple but that's getting nitpicky.

What was the tally, 1 drop?

This year? Not sure.

This year? Not sure.

This year Deebo has been charged with 3 drops on 35 targets. He had 2 in the CHI game and 1 in the CAR game. The CHI game is understandable because of the weather. I don't think drops are an issue at all with him this season. The real issue is forcing passes to him in tight coverage. The guy is only catching 57% of his targets.

Deebo fat
He's regressed.
He doesn't look like he's in his best form.

Is he overweight? Nagging injuries we don't know about? Overused from last year?
How many drops does Deebo have? I saw one site that had him at 9? Is that accurate?

Every ball thrown his way has to be a circus catch, from our supposedly "accurate" QB.

He's dropped more than last year. It's worse though that he just doesn't seem as quick or strong to break tackles. He doesn't have the burst he had before nore the strength to run people over.

He looks average.

You're going to hate it when you see him next year with our "inaccurate" QB
