Finally, some good news with the injuries. I like Deebo and that look on his face while he was getting carted off.

Thank you baby Jesus!
But an MCL sprain? That stuff takes time. Mitchell and Shaair missed 7-8 weeks. Hope it's not as severe as those like it sounds
This. No way. I call B.S. here big time. But I'll HAPPILY eat crow if I'm wrong. I so hope I am.
Even if he just steps on the field, let me have it!
I've had both injuries and they are brutal and slow healing. But Deebo IS otherworldly. So I'll keep the prayers up.

It didn't look good - I thought multiple ligament tears for sure.

Really dodged a bullet here. It looked horrible from the replay and how dejected deebo looked while being carted off the field.
Lets try to run him up the middle less and give more carries to that jordan mason kid. He seems to be getting better the more touches he gets.

There are different degrees of sprains. For example, after Mitchell's last one shanny said he thought it'd be on the more minor/moderate side is 3-4 weeks. Unfortunately Eli had 2 severe sprains in the same year, 8 weeks

Maybe it was just one of these.

I would take whatever Kyle Shanahan says and does over what Jerry says at the point. There's a reason he's just a spectator and a talking head.
Still love him though.
About play calling? It's not like anyone is asking Jerry to be our oc. The idea that he doesn't understand the physicality of the game though is laughable. I'd alway take the advice of someone who played the game for 30 years and has actually taken hits before.

Physicality isn't why he got hurt, but it's a big reason why the play was called.

I know i should have rewatched, but it really feels like that was an off tackle run that he turned back inside...

he's likely in for a longer gain and uninjured if he follows Kittle's block.
Here's the play where Deebo Samuel gets injured:

* We can debate whether Kyle Shanahan should use Samuel as a running back so much, but this isn't a "run up the middle."
* Not blaming anyone for the injury -- but I wonder why Samuel doesn't follow Kittle to the outside.. pic.twitter.com/uHxWbC7Vln

I'm sure they'll be ready for pre playoff warmup vs the Cardinals.

At least he'll be back for the playoffs. Hopefully we can find someone to run for 5 yards who isn't a 1400 yard receiver.
