Update: Following today's good news, a source says Deebo Samuel could return as soon as Week 17 vs the #Raiders.
— Jordan Schultz (@Schultz_Report) December 13, 2022
After further evaluation, Samuel has an MCL sprain and ankle sprain, but not high-ankle. #49ers host the #AZCardinals Week 18 to closeout regular season. @theScore

Wow. This would be unbelievable. And Mitchell might make it back too in the playoffs, right?

This is great news. His ankle looked really bad during the replay. Rest up Deebo.

he's likely in for a longer gain and uninjured if he follows Kittle's block.
Here's the play where Deebo Samuel gets injured:

* We can debate whether Kyle Shanahan should use Samuel as a running back so much, but this isn't a "run up the middle."
* Not blaming anyone for the injury -- but I wonder why Samuel doesn't follow Kittle to the outside.. pic.twitter.com/uHxWbC7Vln
Because like Trey, he's not a natural running back and hasn't spent his whole professional career being a running back?

Imagine if that wasn't a wet soggy grass and Metlife stadium instead.

IF we win on thursday, we clinch the West. so there is no point in rushing back after that. unless to just get some reps in idk
This x 1000.
This is perfect.
We need to stay in the 3 seed. We get either WASH / NY / or Seattle as a home playoff game.
We avoid Dallas / Philly until the championship game.
Minny SHOULD beat Wash / NY / or Seattle at home
We go into Minnie, curb stomp them and have either the NFC title game in SF or travel to Philly. LOVE IT

yeah Kyle should definitely defang Deebo.
That was Deebo Samuel's 11th rushing TD of 10+ yards out of 14 career rushing TDs. Insane.pic.twitter.com/t7MjIV3A5j

Outside run or not, it was a bad play call, and Kyle deserves to be criticized for it.
I 1000% do not understand how anyone can blame an injury on play calling... Deebo is paid to be used in this offense the way he always has. What they need to do is TEACH these guys to go down when there are 3-4 guys tackling you. GK85 doesnt get that concept, DS19 doesnt get that concept, BA11 doesnt get that concept (hasnt cost him an injury just turnovers)... Gaining another 1/2 yard when you have the 1st down already is what is not necessary. GO DOWN
i agree with you 100%
Gotta log out first my guy lolI agreed with myself
Love you
You got to be f**king kidding me get a life man . This is it and you are posting in it baby! Go BRRRRROCK
I'm convinced there's probably 25-35 of us and we all have four screen names. Probably
Still love you all

Oh, you definitely don't want to defang him but I was answering the original question: "...but I wonder why Samuel doesn't follow Kittle to the outside.."
