Hopefully Deebo sheds a few pounds and returns to the 2021 form. With CMC and 2021 Deebo we are SB contenders, No matter who is playing QB.

Yah he was looking a little chubby but he was maybe keeping that weight because he was absorbing hits running so much.

I'd personally like to see him over 1k yards next year receiving and more focused.on receiving. That is why they paid him substantially, to be a WR I thought. With the right QB, you could also see 1k yards for Aiyuk and Kittle, but I digress 😁

I don't really have an issue with the weight he was playing it. Do you not remember his 74 yard TD against Seattle where he hit that extra gear and smoked everyone? If a few added pounds keep him insulated from injuries I'm all for it.
Deebo should take the #1 jersey if Jimmie Ward doesn't re-sign with us.

Or maybe Moonie...

I thought the same. Weight isn't a problem. I do however want to see him get the ball more as a receiver in space. He was one of the league leaders in receiving yards before the wideback thing even started.
I don't mind wide back when it's playoff football, but I hope our running back room is healthy and deep enough that he never "has" to be the wide back.

This. Id use Deebo like that when we NEED a play because he can make something out of nothing. With that said, offense should be wide open with Purdy and I'm optimistic about Trey.
I hope Deebo improves in the offseason and becomes a bigger threat in the WR department, it'll open up even more opportunities in the RB section for him.

It ain't happening... Deevah is a great gadget but will never be a TRUE WR.

He never was a great route runner no matter HOW Kyle BS his Shananigans that Deevah is a very good route runner in the Senior Bowl..

He's not fluid but has great power.
Wonder internally if they are okay with paying two WRs and a TE all out the wazoo in a run heavy O. Granted they all play a role in run game.. but so does Jennings, you don't have to pony up major dough for run blocking at skill positions.

You can temporarily. When its time to pay a QB, that changes.
Deebo had an extremely disappointing season. Is he another case of a guy blowing up in a contract year only to regress following?

I didn't love the #19 at first but I think he owns it now. He would look good in #1 though

People were all over the wideback thing and people forgot he was among the league leaders in receiving yardage last year. I expect more of a dominant Deebo with CMC in the mix now.

Honestly I'm on the opposite train. I think he was a good safety blanket dump off option but now with CMC as the safety valve and purdy throwing it deeper I don't think he will break 1k yards again.

He's not good at getting separation outside of scheme and he is not really a good route runner either. He's a dump off, jet sweep brute.

I don't see it fitting the way it was when Jimmy was tossing it 5 yards every play.
