the players are mentally scarred from being up in two Superbowls by 10 points and losing.
this loss hits the franchise deeply in many ways.
Do they even want to get back again, just to lose?

What? Want to get back? Have you played a competitive sport on a team in your life? Of course they want to get back. That is one thing I appreciate about our roster construction, they target guys that love football

We will see, I have played for football teams my whole life and I have seen some that were broken by losing the big one.
And the closer you get to winning without winning, the worse it affects you.

Wonder if we could ship him to Klint in NO. Would really help open up things for Kamara who has lost a step.

I am thinking NE. They desperately need a WR, I think they have the cap space. They can offer their 2nd RD pick which is like pick #35. I also heard the Pats might be willing to trade their #3 pick, So they can easily get that high 2nd RD pick back. Also the Jets were interested in Deebo before we extended him, I wonder if they would still be interested.

Route running and beating man coverage has never been Deebo since college, he isn't exposing anything new

JTO being too hard on Deebo...
Folks want the perfect player at each position. The perfect QB.. the Perfect RB... the Perfect Fullback (yall remember when some here was mad at Moran Norris for not Mossing a horrible pass by Alex Smith?)
And the perfect WR...
Deebo has his own qualities that make him stand out over the rest.. has second gear speed to take it to the house. Has the ability to make NFL defenders bounce off him. And has shown hands to make tough catches. Hell he even beat his guy for a TD, from deep pass from Purdy.
He's worth his money because he can quickly get you back in a game. He can pump up your teammates... he can be used all over the field.
Edit- wish I could get the other view...lol... ah good times....or not.

It's why we can't lose Aiyuk and have him as our #1 WR. We are screwed if that happens. Deebo is elite with the ball in his hands. Probally the best in the game. But you have to have your #1 WR be able win route's against good corners. You can only throw so many screens before a defense catches on.

What about effort or playing hard in the SB?

JT isn't saying anything that hasn't been evident Deebo's whole career. And I say that as a huge Deebo fan. Yes he does things no other WR can do but damn it would have been nice to see him give 100% in the SB

Has to be a reason no? Preserving what he had left of his body I think. You saw how he tweaked his hamstring on a simple out route.
Yall know he wanted to win that game bad.
