How many teams have corners that can play straight up man like KC? Those dudes literally locked down everyone this season.

As a football fan, it's nice seeing sticky press-man coverage being played a high level. It feels like a dying art with the rules and so many elite athletes in high school and college encouraged to move away from DB.

They have a very good development staff for the DBs, its been going on for a while now. It's definitely more of an exception though. You're not supposed to be able to play man coverage like that in the NFL anymore. They do it very well.

I looked through their schedule this year when they faced teams with great/elite WRs, Kirk had the best game out all the WRs they faced...

They had games where the top WRs would have 5/7 catches 60-90 yards, but nothing spectacular. However, Deebo couldn't do s**t and they aren't quite that amazing now...

Wait a year. Unless this is a pure cost saving maneuver. I'd win the Bowl and trade him with a year remaining. Still relatively young, can make plays, and can open things for others.

That's the only real dominant game I think of. Am I missing any? He's a lazy bugger who is always injured. More interested in social media fights, pre game fights and getting a little bag. I don't see him dominating for his money amount.

He wasn't open much on the Baldy film review of the SB. I've never seen him so blanketed. It's like they had Deion on him. Unbelievable.

He was wide open on at least 7 or 8 routes. That is all you need. You need the ball coming your way to make something out of it. Purdy didn't have time

You should now rail on this for the next 4 weeks

Speed and route running is what is needed. Off script plays require open receivers. Purdy eludes pressure and buys time he just needs a smart route runner that can off a route and help his qb out. 19 is not that guy. Ship him and find better. We won't though,,, Kyle's playbook is dependent on 19, if he is not in the game the offense looks lost. This requires an adjustment and Kyle is allergic to those.

Aiyuk is a very good route runner. His problem is he lacks elite speed and size. At 6' he's isn't going to go up and take passes away from good defenders. Deebo is a little faster and better with the ball in his hands but he's not a great route runner and is only 6' as well. The one big receiver is Jennings and he lacks speed.

Aiyuk is like Rice's John Taylor. He's not a number one. Kyle literally has no speed at wr. He abandoned the run in the second half with dudes that weren't going to get open in time on pass plays. The fullback needs ditched for a burner. We need a second pure wr who is at least as fast as Aiyuk. Deebo is a money fat washed gimmick player. You need multiple fast good route runners and a burner to beat Spags. Imagine Brock with Peyton….

Purdy was blitzed over 50% of the time. He had guys in his face much of the game. As good as he is when he has time his effectiveness drop off a lot when under pressure. That's true of ost QBs but Purdy has a little harder time because of his size. It's hard to throw over guys 4 or 5 inches taller when they're bearing down on you.
