BA was open a lot. Watch the all 22. This man gets open. Kills man

He seemed open deep a good amount of times. Kind of worries me that Purdy either couldn't hit him or see him.

Purdy was blitzed over 50% of the time. He had guys in his face much of the game. As good as he is when he has time his effectiveness drop off a lot when under pressure. That's true of ost QBs but Purdy has a little harder time because of his size. It's hard to throw over guys 4 or 5 inches taller when they're bearing down on you.

Yeah I'm definitely not saying that, he wasn't getting much help from the oline a bunch of times. He was pressured a ton and it messed up a bunch of throws. I'm not blaming Purdy completely by any means.
It's just there were multiple throws open on the all 22 though that were deep long shots and where he had time. The chiefs were giving up deep shots how they were playing defense. These would've changed the game. I'm not sure if he just didnt let it rip because his arm isn't quite strong enough for those deep shots or just missed the reads or not just trusting the reads. My take away was after re-watching the all 22 was "damn, Purdy could've saved us."

I found it interesting too that Purdy mentioned during his exit interview he wants to work on arm strength during his off-season so maybe he did see those opportunities and just physically thought he couldn't do it.

This is the first offseason where I don't have to worry about the most important position on the football field. Purdy will improve both physically and in between the ears and we will sweep the division next season again. I know we forfeited the last contest in lieu of rest this year. I'm excited for year two of Purdy as the starter

Man I guess we gotta keep it real. He just can't separate and based on this scheme is kinda useless vs man.

We gotta get another man beater like BA.

How many teams have corners that can play straight up man like KC? Those dudes literally locked down everyone this season.

As a football fan, it's nice seeing sticky press-man coverage being played a high level. It feels like a dying art with the rules and so many elite athletes in high school and college encouraged to move away from DB.

No doubt. I still love Deebo. He's the heart of this offense. He is one of one with what he's good at.

all the nonsense about trading his is silly and honestly doesn't make since both financially and roster wise.

Thank you, finally someone with some sense on here, it makes no sense financially or roster wise to trade Deebo, same with any of our stars, we can maneuver the cap, and keep our core together for as long as possible.

Agreed…I see folks talk about the whole post June 1st stuff. What they don't realize is you can't facilitate a trade until after June 1st. So not only would you not be able to touch any savings until after June 1st (whatever little savings there is) you aren't getting any trade compensation for this upcoming draft.

So basically those folks have made the team worse this yr and done nothing to improve it…all because they're reactionary and emotional over a Super Bowl loss. Talk about a horrible way to run a franchise

And people can save me the whole Walsh get rid of a player a year early stuff. There was no cap space going on back then. s**t doesn't hold water in today's league.
We should trade Deebo to New England

I'm down. But only if you go with him.
My only concerns about Deebo is his route running and body. Dude is constantly dinged up and breaking down. That would be the only reason to even entertain it. And I wouldn't entertain it much at that.

He is going to be 29 years old late next season. I love Deebo, but I never thought he was going to age gracefully into his 30s with his style of play. It does worry me that the wheels come completely off at some point moving forward. Remember Marshawn Lynch when he went to the Raiders at around age 30? Dude was fat and lost his juice. I wory that'll be Deebo lol.

That's why it's imperative the 49ers take advantage of this damn window because it's closing.

This year we can't move him bc of all the dead money. Next year it's a different story. That's when I think we should move him, especially since we will have so many core FAs
The injuries are starting to mount up.

This season will be very telling on his and our future.
Deep down EVERYONE knew that 2021 was an outlier and he would never replicate that, just keep it real. Dude is either asking to come out every other play or has to because of some kind of injury, which is funny because he half asses everything when he doesn't have the ball. He simply is not worth the contract we gave him and personally I don't care if we did trade him
Keep him
