It does worry me that the wheels come completely off at some point moving forward. Remember Marshawn Lynch when he went to the Raiders at around age 30? Dude was fat and lost his juice. I wory that'll be Deebo lol.

That's why it's imperative the 49ers take advantage of this damn window because it's closing.

I occasionally see comments like this last sentence about the Niners' so-called window "closing" and just shake my head.

If you believe the Niners have their franchise QB in 24-year-old Purdy, which I do, and you believe he's already shown to be a Top 5 QB in this league in his first full season but will continue to develop & improve with more experience, which I do…

If you believe in the core pieces that are in their 20s & very early 30s…CMC, Deebo, Aiyuk, Kittle, Bosa, Hargrave, Warner, Greenlaw, Ward, Lenior, Hufanga…

If you believe in Lynch & Shanahan…their ability to continue adding key, impactful talent mainly via the draft but also in FA and trades…plus Paraag's expertise & ability to navigate the salary cap along with ownership's proven willingness to do what it takes financially in compensating talent…

If you believe the above, which to me is only pointing out areas that are pretty obvious & proven, and especially point #1 in having your franchise QB in place, then the whole "window closing" thing is as far-fetched as it can be.

Not saying there are any guarantees - of course not. And yes, anything can happen in the NFL. Yet that goes for every single team in the league. Only a very, very few teams have all of the above as the Niners do - and, most importantly, have produced such winning results on the field as the Niners have. This is what the Niners have shown throughout the Lynch-Shanahan era with what they've built & continue building.

Looking forward to seeing it continue to play out. Have seen the previous five and hoping to see SB win #6 soon.

Deep down EVERYONE knew that 2021 was an outlier and he would never replicate that, just keep it real. Dude is either asking to come out every other play or has to because of some kind of injury, which is funny because he half asses everything when he doesn't have the ball. He simply is not worth the contract we gave him and personally I don't care if we did trade him

2021 wasn't an outlier, he had over 1000 scrimmage yards, 12 TDs this season, he would have had more if he didn't miss 3 games, 4 really if you count week 18 where no starters played the entire game. And I love how you assume like you know what's going on down on the sidelines when Deebo is in or out, tired of ppl questioning his heart, he loves football, he gives it 110% every game, he played thru injuries during his career, to call him soft or half assing it is a slap in the face to him.

Agree with that. I'd say trading now makes no sense. My bigger concern is what he looks like 2 years from now (which would be year 1 of a new deal). With that said, he's a playmaker who can break a game with the ball in his hands. 2022 was a very good year when you consider he basically played 13 games as you pointed out. I still would like the lions share of targets to go to Aiyuk for consistent sake as well as to get more attention off of Deebo who works best with space where he can shake a defender. Defenses are locked on him and McCaffrey primarily.

When we can improve our pass blocking that'll give Kittle, Juice, and Aiyuk more time to get open leading to even more explosives. If we keep the offensive core, Brock continues to grow, and address O-line, there is no reason for this offense to not average 30 a game.

But was it 2021? Nope. 1K scrimmage yards isn't some untouchable feat, rookies can come in and get that and do. The TD part is all about who's featured in the Redzone. I never said Deebo sucks, I just said he hasn't lived up to his contract and hasn't and I don't think ever will play like 2021 again. You can have your opinion on that and I can have mine. And you think he gives 110% every game? When he has the ball I can agree. When he doesn't? I challenge you to watch the all-22; if that's 110% then that's laughable and makes Jennings and Aiyuk look like 200%. I never called him soft so don't put words in my mouth.
He not going to ever be like 2021, he is definitely slowing down, he does more talking than walking these days and struggles to get any desperation, the time to trade him is now

Now is the worst possible time to trade.
He is not a player whose game is going to age well into his 30s and the injuries only continue to pile. If the Chiefs can trade Tyreek and come out it a more well wounded balanced team, I think we can move on from Deebo and use the extra draft capital and cap to build the best possible OL.
The thing w/trades, IMO, is who will be replacing him and will they perform at the same or better level??
I think he needs to double down on what he was doing here before last season. He can still benefit by losing 5-10 lbs of fat. He's a big boy with remarkable speed. He'll only get faster and be able to separate more effectively with minimal power loss (see DK Metcalf). Plus he will obviously extend his shelf life as a player. Maybe this will force Kyle to stop using him as a wide back so much. I know it's the element of the unknown that Kyle loves so much especially with CMC and Deebo back there at the same time. But teams are catching on and, Kyle, did you know we have a dude named Jordan Mason on the team?

They got a ransom of Hill and he also didn't have 20+ in dead money if traded. Makes absolutely zero sense to trade him this year, I don't get why people don't understand this.
I personally don't think he is a great reciever.l, certainly not with the contract he signed. He is big and strong but not fast and not a good route runner. He isn't a reliable target on 3rd down and I do see him seemingly take himself outta the game at times.

Sure he caught teams off guard at times and broke off some huge runs but on 4th and 6 in a convert or go home situation, his number isn't gonna get called and I can't count on him to make a play.

Sad thing is he may have no trade value because of his huge contract. He is getting top 10 receiver money, maybe higher but I don't think he is even a top 20 receiver.

He's not terrible but he isn't even a pro bowler or all pro. I don't see him worth that contract.
I hope he has a great year this season and 49ers get their 6th with him. THEN, Niners could let dat ass go

1k yards when there are so many other targets is no mean feat. Samuel is still a game changer but I'd agree we may have seen the absolute best of him over a full season. Don't see much point moving him though on unless we got a great deal.

Health is the main concern but you're nuts if you want to trade him. He's a beast.

Agreed!

I feel like we'll always have an open window with Kyle and Brock
