Unless we get a crazy offer of maybe a pick and a younger player that will upgrade the OL I think we keep Deebo this year and trade him next year

Trade him for Washington's #36 and #40. We could pick up JPJ and best CB available.

Worse? He couldn't get open against man coverage in the SB. We need to move away from the gadget stuff, we don't need it as much now with a legit QB.

Keeping Deebo now would just mean that drafting Pearsall was a wasted pick.

If Peters cough that up, Lynch got to take it in a heartbeat . Realistically, it might be Deebo and a swap of 36 for 63 and we get 100 back in return.

It's not a mystery the guy will struggle against man coverage. To me if you trade him today the offense is worse off.
Lynch has always made it clear he'll listen to offers on anyone (except Bosa, and probably now Purdy), and media always concocts these elaborate trade scenarios. It's just maintaining good relationships with other GMs and hearing what the market is, to collect information. If there's a too-good-to-pass up deal, then you take it, but the 49ers are not "focused on" trading Deebo, just like they weren't shopping Aiyuk before the draft.

The team has a clear need at WR, both now and especially in the future. Jennings is great but not a speedster. We lose an element of our flexibility when Deebo or Aiyuk are off the field (whether due to rest or injury). With Purdy in place, Shanahan and Lynch are moving the team to an offense-first identity rather than defense-first like 2019. Pearsall reinforces that. There's no reason to not run it back with both Aiyuk and Deebo next year.
We are all in this year to win it all. The trade for Deebo will be after the Super Bowl when we win it all and have to pay Brock. We need Deebo this year

This was my reaction to everyone else's reaction to the Pearsall pick. I was like why can't we keep all of them? Seems like the likely outcome

Nah it's not gonna be BA. he would have been moved yesterday if the right offer came up

Just my opinion. I don't think this pick changes much for 2024. Ricky will assume the role as primary returner and be eased into the offense as the 4th option. I think this pick could signify a few things. The team could be transitioning to more 11 personnel looks within the offense. Juice isn't getting much younger. This is quite possibly Deebo's last year as a niner. I've never believed Aiyuk was going anywhere nor was Deebo this season. Deebo's physical style of play won't lend to a long career into his 30's imo. Releasing him next year saves about 9 mil I think. There should be trade interest as well. Either way I think this might be Deebo's last season with the team.

Ricky gives Kyle another man coverage counter after Spags went man coverage dominant against Kyle with success in the super bowl.

He's the #3 wr tomorrow. Watch.

Not if you're using more 3wr sets…

The WZ front page article is saying we could get a 2nd and a 3rd? That's hard to pass up. And the Pats or whoever is trading sees more value in him this year vs next because of the extra year under contract. Deebo would make things easier for a rookie qb.

Even then, his targets would be limited with Deebo and Aiyuk on the team.
Deebo is worth a top 10 pick easy imo. If you take a lesser pick for him or a 2nd round pick for Brandon, a lot of us will not cut anymore slack to this team. The team has weapons. It needs offensive line help badly. This draft has shaken my confidence in our front office and we only made one pick 😂
