Not hearing amazing things about separation from Deebo. I was interested to see how he steps up without Aiyuk. I know hes not gonna reach another level at this point in his career, but I was hoping for a better connection between Brock and Deebo.
Deebo is an incredible gadget player that can dominate and break defenses in a way I have never seen. His ability to make defenses miss and break tackles with the ball in his hand is incredible. However, he fails to be that dependable, consistently open receiver that the niners need.
Hearing some good things from depth players, but without Aiyuk it seems the receiver room loses its elite edge.

Yeah, he does have some fantastic long pass highlights. He has surprisingly great top speed for his size
However, I wouldn't feel great during a critical 3rd or 4th down play where he's schemed as Brock's first read and go to.

He's going to get extended. They can make it work with all the A-listers in their prime.

I was preparing for him to be gone next year assuming Pearsall is decent.
With Brock's deal at some point all these bonuses and deferments come due.

Not if they find ways to stretch it out while he's performing at a high level.
It only hurts you when you have several bad contracts at once.

I thought he'd be gone next year. Now I don't see how.

I am not expert but It does seem like this would make it harder to deal him. But maybe they have no interest in doing that.

We'll still be paying Brock very little next season relative to most QB's. I think we're definitely trying to stretch it out.
Drafting will decide how far out we get to stretch it and still have as good a roster as we do.
