The guy is far from perfect. He has flaws (i.e beating man coverage) BUT this guy comes up big in some important games (i.e. last game, Eagles game last year, etc).

There were hundred different things (Shanahan coaching timid, Purdy not seeing the field and being TO machine, special teams, etc) that you can criticize after that game but lets go after a guy that has been the soul of this team the last couple years without knowing what's truly wrong with this guy.

Some of our fans are straight trash. We deserve the nickname "whiner" fans.

Agreed. And oddly I don't think I have seen a single post recanting or apologising. One or two posters are standing on the edge right now, but judging from previous experiences they will keep their heads down for a week or two before returning and carrying on.

I agree with asu49ers, I never for one moment criticized Deebo, having fluid in your lungs, pneumonia is scary, glad he didn't play with that, I give Deebo credit for trying, but good on Deebo & fans for having sympathy for Deebo.

How did he get this in the first place though? He's a young and in shape athlete. I would think he's low risk for this. Yeah I realize anybody can get it. But his immune system should be strong enough to handle this before it became a big issue.

He's got pneumonia and was hospitalized for it. He's out for at least a couple of weeks even if they haven't come out and said it yet.

I know, I had walking pneumonia before. Its a wild feeling. I don't care how healthy you or not that can take a bad turn quick. I guess no news is good news.

A month before the pandemic, I was diagnosed with walking pneumonia. I essentially stayed sick for a little over a month and had to go through two rounds of antibiotics and crap load of rest. More than anything, I felt fatigued as hell.

Right now I'm sick as a dog, feels like when I had long term COVID last year, idk if it is again, tried test at home, but they're expired, need to get tested, but throat hurts, sneezing, coughing, runny nose, etc... Sucks, I don't get how fans can't have sympathy for guys like Deebo and Aiyuk, they didn't ask for this, it happens, for Deebo anyone can get anything at anytime, so pneumonia can happen, as for Aiyuk, our bodies were never meant to take this kind of punishment, so I feel so bad for BA, I gave him s**t about the negotiations, but no player wants to get hurt especially tear both his ACL & MCL, they want to be out there playing. People need to have sympathy & empathy for them, they're human beings like all of us for gods sake.

It's not overly common for his age group and a fit athlete. It happens in nursing homes where people are elderly and compromised. I don't see anybody else around the NFL or our team with it. But they might now as he is breathing in the locker room and weight room. It's just unusual that's all. Not that it can't happen. Yeah it can. Not highly likely for his age group and fitness level. Unless his immune system is bad somehow. Or just got a strain he can't handle.

He's not the demographic that would normally get this.

Dude was trying to play while it had a full effect in him. Got teh IV. Got antibiotics. Hacking up teh phlem. Downing all sorts of fluids, vitamins and minerals. Yup. He'll practice a little on Friday but they'll say he got full in

He's going to suit up on Sunday. Game time decision. He's gonna push it

Just because something is less common in certain demographics doesn't mean it's impossible. It simply means it's less frequent. That also means that some still get pneumonia in that demographic. That's how probabilities work - sometimes the rare instance happens.

Well if he's healthy he can go. But if not recover first. He had a serious situation. Which was not apparent at first. This team is just so unluck this year. If they are not injured they are sick. It's a complete mess.

I've had pneumonia numerous times and bronchitis a lot growing up. Most times untreated by a doc, but when you're young, antibodies and immune system does wonders. He's still in his prime with best treatments cash could by. If he feels like going out there and play some snaps / be a decoy at times, Shanny just might let him.

He tried playing while that virus was tearing him up, now he'll be feeling a lot better. IMO, in his mind, he's probably thinking that he has the entire bye to rest up #DoOrDie #AnyGivenSunday Shanny doesn't even know who will be alive come Sunday
Glad he is home.
