Outside of blocking, he's not doing anything particularly well now. He isn't separating consistently, nor is he catching the ball when it comes his way. That's 95% of his job. I also don't think he is being very captain like this year..

I liked him for a good while, but very disappointed now. We won't save much, but it's time to move on after this year.

To be fair to Deebo, he didn't get the contract for being a great WR. It was more of the mixed use of him as a RB and WR. But I'm in the same boat as you...very disappointed as his dropped off since signing the contract has been so depressing.

Honestly, what were the 49ers thinking when they redid his contract in the off season? Just one of many misguided front office decisions.
For all the comments about Deebo declining or just not caring this season….He is STILL the hardest player to bring down in the NFL that can break 1 or 4-5 tackles in route to a long td. Now for all of you saying he can't do that anymore, I disagree. He still can but what people fail to realize is a 50% Deebo is still among the top most dangerous weapons in the NFL. I'll take that and his contract unless Pearsall gets a lot better and/or BA is all healed up and ready to go or another team gives us at least the value of 2 2nds (which teams won't offer after this year).

He's averaging 14 receiving yards per game this year with 1 TD. He's clearly ineffective when you run the ball with him (averaging 2.9 yards) I've seen no evidence that he's still one of the hardest players to bring down. Frankly, just looking at the broken tackle stat he had 17 broken tackles last year (2023) and this year it is only 3.

I would say the KR he had on the last 2 Sundays still showed he's a load to tackle

He's a really expensive kick returner with no signs he's a good WR this year.

Without watching the game and just looking at the box score.. yeah it's not good

but watching him out there getting his catches called back due to penalties or flipping field positions on STs. he's still out there trying to make things happen. Our QB is refusing to throw ball, there not much more our skill players can do

No argument here, just evidence that he is still tough to tackle

I know right??!!! That just proves he's still got it for sure. Like I said, a 50% Deebo is better than pretty much anyone else with the ball in their hands.

Yeah, like I said he is still a beast just not the level he has played too. At the beginning of the year he was faster and then pneumonia kicked in and him getting nicked up, still wasn't at his best but still among the best if not still the best.

He's still great with the ball in his hands and a head of steam, Kyle just hasn't been able to manufacture enough of those looks for him and he's not a good enough route runner to create them
Going to lose it if I have to watch this guy run the ball rest of season vs the lions share of carries going to IG

I'VE stated all what Baldinger just posted.. last year and the year before, I wanted to trade this guy while he still had value.. it was a freakin common sense that CMC can do what DEEVAH can so I was against on paying him..

Dang... I hate being RIGHT all the time !!
I've seen it before where the fans let the media change their perspective of our star, no BS, type players. They said the same s**t about T.O's play.. as if he all the sudden wasn't his play making self. But as soon as he got on another team/offense, Boom! As expected, playmaking skills were still there.

The same will happen with Deebo. And folks will be pissed "why didn't he do that last year when we were paying him so much! f**kER!! "

He got PAID as a WR!

Half ther fans say we need to sign these guys when they hold out and half says let them go. I'm not big on handing out big contracts for skill players other than QB. Even then yo need to be sure he's going to be your guy going forward. Receivers and RBs can drop off dramtically from one year to the next. Personally I would prefer giving good O line talent more money. First of al I consider that the moa]st important part of the team especialy if you have a good QB. Second linemen tend to play longwer and are more consistent.
