They said the same s**t about T.O's play.. as if he all the sudden wasn't his play making self. But as soon as he got on another team/offense, Boom! As expected, playmaking skills were still there.

The same will happen with Deebo. And folks will be pissed "why didn't he do that last year when we were paying him so much! f**kER!! "

This is mostly where I lean also. He has had several big plays that have been called back that would help his stats, our offense has been in flux all season due to injuries (aiyuk and little healthy would open space) and our o-line can't block crap when he gets the ball (seems to be hit be 2+ players each carry).

the drops seem to be all on him but wouldn't doubt some of that is pressure to make a play with the team playing so bad.

if the team turns it around next season or he is traded, I bet he is close to 90% of his 2021 form… just like TO, moss, Hopkins, obj to rams, boldin, etc.

Moss, Owen's are HOFers who had multiple dominant seasons and had a competitive drive They are on the short list.

Deebo...No chance. 2021 form...that's laughable....on another team.? Cant run routes and has to be schemed open....and when he does get the ball he either drops it or is tackled immediately. He is not even a WR! He has no more skills.

We must not be watching the same games. He is still breaking single tackles. Problem is he doesn't have any space after or another guy right there to clean up. Watching the games you see they are not spreading the field and creating space like in seasons past. I'm sure he will have a pretty good season if he goes to the rams, bengals, ravens, chiefs, etc… teams that can create space.

A few posts earlier....3 broken tackles this year. Create space....that IS the job of a WR.

Don't know how they determine that stat. In the jets highlights alone I see 3 broken/forced missed tackles, several where it took more than one to bring him down and only one tackle by a single player tripping up his legs. That was just one game. I'm sure there are other games too.

i don't think he is playing great now by any means because the stats are crap. I just doubt he is washed

if you come across all his posts, you will realize he's not here to talk football
Get Jerry Rice in to teach Deebo how to run a route.

No, because he can't get out of his breaks. His 3 cone drill tells the tale. He can't plant and drive off a cut. He has no flexibility.

Is that the issue? If SF's passing offense is so bad then why are they rated 9th in the NFL in passing yards per game?
https://www.espn.com/nfl/stats/team/_/table/passing/sort/netPassingYards/dir/desc

I think it's partly a decline in Deebo's play and partly that teams have adjusted to take away some of the things Deebo does well. For example, the number of screens has fallen off a cliff and we know Deebo has thrived on those plays in the past. He's never been a "good" router runner but now defenders are just a little bit closer to him then before. Is he slower? Is it the fact Aiyuk isn't on the field to stretch the defense? I think that's another big factor to consider. The real question for Deebo isn't necessarily about whether he's good, it more about whether he's worth $24m a year any longer.

Does he belong in this group of WR's?

11 DeVonta Smith PHI, WR$25,000,000
12 Nico Collins HOU, WR$24,250,000
13 D.K. Metcalf SEA, WR$24,000,000
14 Deebo Samuel SF, WR $23,850,000
15 Michael Pittman Jr. IND, WR$23,333,333
16 Calvin Ridley TEN, WR$23,000,000
17 Terry McLaurin WAS, WR $22,788,000
18 Stefon Diggs HOU, WR$22,520,000

That is disgusting.

Lynch and Shanahan have made huge msitakes.
They will probably do what they did to Juice. Ask him to take a pay cut and if he says no, cut him.

He's basically just a kick returner now.
Deebo's reputation may still create a trade opportunity, if SF is lucky. Some other GM may think they can still get the 2021 or Eagles game 2023 player.
Deebo's value is diminishing every game. 6th rounder at best.

Hargrave was actually playing well before he got hurt

Hes going to have to be a cut, no team is taking that contract.
