Hes going to have to be a cut, no team is taking that contract.

It's a long shot, but maybe if SF agrees to take on a certain % of the contract. Reduce the cost for the other team he goes to, while SF has less of a cap hit than they would if they cut him.

That being said, Deebo is a better playmaker than Kyle Shanahan making Head Coaching decisions. Kyle is an idiot on the field, when bullets are flying.

GTFO Kyle's been to two SBs and two NFCCs the past 5 yrs. There was bound to be a down year. They need to start re-tooling and getting younger to make another run.

He's never been able to be some elite separator, still produced for yrs. Why has that all of a sudden changed?

He's never been able to be some elite separator, still produced for yrs. Why has that all of a sudden changed?

First of all, he is paid like an elite WR that should be able separate. He drove this narrative on his own by asking for top WR money.

Secondly, his motivation, compete level and overall focus has been lost since he held out for more money....shocker. Football rather sports in general isnt just physical ability. You have to be mentally focused and motivated.

Everyone claims its style of play but that is just isnt rational. Lots of players in the history of the NFL are overly physical and dont fall off a cliff production wise midway through a football career.

If you look at his stats he really only had 1 productive year. Everything else is pedestrian
Teams know how to defend him. He is no longer an enigma offensively.

The Niners caved in and paid 2 recivers top money. Now they have one on IR and the other one can't get much separation. They're paying nearly $50 million per year for 2 guys that arten't helping this year and maybe next year.

Where in his contract did it say he was paid to be an elite separator? Nuk was never a WR that could separate. DK isn't some elite route runner that can separate. Theres plenty of WRs that aren't elite separators that have gotten paid. Deebo has always been great vs zone. Thats also a skill set.

Every single report from this off season was saying Deebo looked great, motivated blah blah blah. Even negative Nancy Grant talked about it.

What's made Deebo special is his ability to be built like a RB and move like a WR. He's not going down first contact. I wouldn't be shocked if he's also hurt currently…His money has always been made with those in breaking routes. For whatever reason he hasn't been getting those types of targets this yr. The pass game overall has been vanilla s**t. Part of that falls on Kyle.

folks didn't want to hear me BUT losing BA hit this team tremendously. He was our true X that could lineup all over the place. He could handle the hard routes and deal with a teams top DB while guys like Deebo/kittle/JJ and CMC got quality matchups.
