I think its more to do with Diet, homeboy extra chunky and glued to the oxygen mask this year.

Everyone was saying that Deebo came into camp in great shape this year. Part of his dropoff is related to Aiyuk being out. Instead of the best DB covering Aiyuk they can put him on Deebo.

people say anything now

Deebo did come into the season in shape. He is also wearing a flak jacket for his rib injury.. and he also had pneumonia which recovery can last a long time depending on the person.

There are interesting points on both sides here. One, Deebo is not that old. Two, he does not appear to be as effective this season, either as a receiver or a running threat out of the backfield. He was a threat last season. Injuries were nagging at him, but he was still a threat. But this year? Not as much. Why? He's only 28. He will be 29 in January. But I can't blame age. Not yet. Maybe in 6-7 years. But now? I don't see it.

I also don't see Purdy having the greatest of years either. I also notice the left side of the offensive line is not road grading like it did in previous seasons. Is it the play of the line? Is Trent Williams having an off season? The man is 36 years old. He will be 37 next season. Is that it? I can only tell you my observations. Perhaps defenses are doing something differently?

My guess is, and this is just a guess, it is the play of the line. It's just not as good as it was last season.

FWIW Trent still grading out as an elite level OT. Banks has been banged up since TC. Brendel is atrocious, we all know that.

honestly I don't think Deebo in the backfield has worked for a couple seasons. Like I said earlier he's a slant god, but overall he's not seeing those targets like he once was. I don't know if Brock just isn't seeing it, if he's just not as accurate there or if defenses are adjusting?

The offense is build around the running game, if that s**t isn't working this team isn't gonna win many games.

Drop off a cliff?

Again, being paid as a number a 1 elite WR.

Jerry Rice was a slant god.

He has clearly gained weight during the season. He's fat AF and it's showing in his play.

So he can only get open on a slant route and we are paying him top dollar......

Idk how much padded protection is in the rib jacket but being at his lightest before the season and losing some pounds to pneumonia… be must he hanging out at the OL table for lunch

Well the rib jacket doesn't have pads in the stomach area so I'm tired of hearing that excuse for his huge belly lol.
