Bro what are you talking about? No one was arguing that he can't reach the same top speed. This isn't a track team, we're playing football, and he is clearly not in FOOTBALL shape. My 100M time is pretty close to my all-time best from my college days, but does that mean I could strap on a helmet and pads and play CB? Lol of course not.

Tyshun is out of shape physically, clearly. And more importantly, he is not sharp in terms of catching fundamentals as evidenced by all of the drops. That takes practice and extra reps for someone who is not a natural hands catcher, which he is not and has never been. Obviously he's not doing that. He's also not breaking tackles like he used to, so he's either not as strong and/or just isn't giving as much effort. To me it looks like the latter as he's just not playing with that same passion that we're used to seeing.

Then you add in the fact that he started a podcast this season and every week makes it a point to wear something flamboyant for his pregame attire, it's clear as day that his focus is not football. Everyone is worried about saving $10M-$15M on Purdy; just remove Tyshun from the mix and that pays the difference plus some left over for someone else.

Purdy + any rookie WR who can run routes + extra money for Greenlaw >>>>> Darnold/Baker/etc + Tyshun

Not a hill I would pick.

Ah yes move the goal post. Again you are delusional if you think he is not in football shape. He is asked to do ALOT for us on offense, BECAUSE he is in football shape. He is asked/trusted to does more for us than anyone on the offense. I don't feel it is wise to use him that way, and that it affects other aspects of his game.. but Kyle will be Kyle.

He's asked to rush the ball because he's simply not the type of WR who can get separation vs man coverage. And now he's not even good at rushing the ball. He's also not run blocking the way he used to.

The "goal post" is whether he's good for this team and is playing hard. The answer is no to both.

Like I said, changing the subject about him being out of shape... and of course you say he isn't playing hard. Easy to say from your couch.

Let me guess Deebo will also be on a couch next season huh? He isn't good for a team and doesn't play hard. How can he possibly be on a team next year? Because we are obviously going to cut him right? What a bad example to reward a player like that playing time on our team...let alone pay him MILLIONS of $$$.

Like I said you are delusional. And apparently you are proud of it.

Dude save it with this nonsense about fans not being able to criticize players because we're not able to do what they do. You sound like an idiot.

Tyshun will likely be on the team next year unless another team is as dumb as you and thinks he's still NFL worthy. It's possible he gets serious and flips the switch but we've all seen it countless times. Once a player falls off like this, he's done.

We'll see. He's older now, so it's more of a question, but this season isn't all that different from 20 and 22 (especially at production in the pass game) and he did rebound in both cases.

It's ok to critique his game... Like I said myself, he is pressing just like Purdy.. trying to do too much. Like when he fumbled on the kick return against the Packers blowout.

But calling him Fat.. out of shape... lazy or not a hard worker.... claiming all the sudden he has catching issues.. or with some, claiming he's always had catching issues lol... is just straight ridiculous.... lazy.... just dumb as f**k. And embarrassing to see, as a fellow 9er fan.

He missed half the season in 2020 due to injury. 2022 he had a down year receiving because of Trey and Jimmy. This is different.

Yea I don't necessarily think so. It could be for sure.

FYI I wasn't looking at cumulative stats.

I said he's never been a natural hands catcher, he's not fluid and doesn't pluck the ball well. Some guys are more natural catching the ball, he's not like that. Which means he has to work on it. Are you disputing that he's having issues with drops this season?

As far as being fat and out of shape, I guess we'll just agree to disagree. There was all this talk about how hard he was working on his body, sending Kyle shirtless pics lol. Which means he lost weight, which means he was overweight before. This isn't the the first time his conditioning has been questioned. And yes, during this season he has definitely added weight. He's looked downright fat at times with his belly pushing his jersey out. Flak jackets don't cover your belly button lol.

If he was still effective running the football and/or getting yards on screen plays, I could live with the below average play down field. But now he's not even doing that. He's solid as a kick returner but that's it and it's only 1 per game (13 total returns).

Even if he comes back next year in shape and mentally ready, his skill set just doesn't go well with Purdy. Purdy wants to push the ball down field and is struggling against man coverage because our WR's get very little separation. Deebo's is not a good route runner and can't separate. Would much rather see someone on the roster who can beat man coverage but offers nothing in the run/return game than see another season of Deebo. That would also probably cost 1/2 to 1/3 what Deebo costs.

lol i remember you acting like an ass like this with me when i said let Deebo walk when he was going through extension talks.

You loved deebo and couldn't imagine him anywhere else... now he's the worst WR in history according to you lol
