As far as being fat and out of shape, I guess we'll just agree to disagree. There was all this talk about how hard he was working on his body, sending Kyle shirtless pics lol. Which means he lost weight, which means he was overweight before. This isn't the the first time his conditioning has been questioned. And yes, during this season he has definitely added weight. He's looked downright fat at times with his belly pushing his jersey out. Flak jackets don't cover your belly button lol.

If he was still effective running the football and/or getting yards on screen plays, I could live with the below average play down field. But now he's not even doing that. He's solid as a kick returner but that's it and it's only 1 per game (13 total returns).
lol i remember you acting like an ass like this with me when i said let Deebo walk when he was going through extension talks.

You loved deebo and couldn't imagine him anywhere else... now he's the worst WR in history according to you lol

Deebo was a stud. He fit with Jimmy which is another reason I was in favor of it. Purdy changed things and now Deebo isn't even interested in playing hard. Not the worst WR in history but not a good fit and way too expensive.

you can say whatever you want, but the film tells a different story

Even if he comes back next year in shape and mentally ready, his skill set just doesn't go well with Purdy. Purdy wants to push the ball down field and is struggling against man coverage because our WR's get very little separation. Deebo's is not a good route runner and can't separate. Would much rather see someone on the roster who can beat man coverage but offers nothing in the run/return game than see another season of Deebo. That would also probably cost 1/2 to 1/3 what Deebo costs.

Yea I think a wide receiver that can take short passes to the house like screens, crosses, and slants is a pretty good fit with a QB like Purdy. It's a good fit with any QB.

If he's in an unrecoverable decline as a player so be it, we'll need to move on.

we just need purdy to start getting back to take what the defense gives us..

We might be at a crossroads with our offensive identity in general. Be nice to get back to pounding the rock and playaction. I don't think we have the best personnel or coach to be dissecting teams in the dropback passing game.

i mean the film shows that the plays are there to be made. but we are just too thin to miss a play and be able to make up for it on the next play.

like i keep saying.. the issue is not adding more open options, it's execution

Agree This team has not done well all year when it comes to consistency. It just started the year a little off and injuries and penalties just kept happening. It's been really tough to watch from a fan's perspective.
