Aslong as he is back for week 4 vs Philly. Niners don't need him to beat the Cards,Jets, and Giants. Eagles will be tough. Week 4 will be 16 weeks from the time Deebo had surgery and that was the max they said he would miss. 12 to 16 weeks was the timetable.

Then we will have to hear certain posters complain about a lack of chemistry. We need Deebo back when he is ready. Period.

I agree, If he is 100% you play him. Don't sit him out because you are scared of him getting re-injured.

Sounds like per John, he will miss some early games. Original projection was right on.
We have a young, hungry WR group that will fill in until he's 100%.

I would rather play it safe and keep him out until October then rush him back and risk any setback.

Agree, it also could be a blessing in disguise. We get him 100% healthy in October while we might possibly have some dings on the WR's side by then, and hopefully his injury frees up some of the younger players to step up and contribute - Jennings and Aiyuk come to mind.

Especially since our first 5 games are

ARI
NYJ
NYG
PHI
MIA

All (should be) winnable without Deebo

October is 15+ weeks since his surgery. Sounds like anything after 10 weeks greatly decreases the chances for a 2nd surgery.

I don't see him going on the PUP at the start of the season, IMO I can see him missing the first 2 games.

Normally ARI would scare me the most, but given the all but certain cohesion issues, especially in the first game sans preseason, I think PHI is the toughest game on that list. As such, I would rather let Deebo rest. He is going to be vital come the end stretch.

I think you're being too optimistic. Sure we have guys coming back, but we have no idea how good they'll be.

Imagine last year without Deebo AND Emanuel Sanders. We don't do ANYTHING.

I know pushing it is a bad thing - but, I'm hoping his back with in his 10 week prediction.

ahh we went undefeated with a rookie WR and no Sanders before he came in on Oct 27th. I believe they avg 26 pts per game those first 6 games including a monsoon in DC.
