Looking for a Jerry rice type miracle recovery, ready to go week 1, lol.

Julian Eldeman had a Jones Fracture on 11/15 vs Giants back in 2015...He came back 1/16 for the playoffs and had 10 catches for 100 yards vs KC.

IMO the threshold for recovery is 10 weeks...by week 1 it should be around 12 weeks. I'm all for giving him two more weeks on top of that just to make sure

If he's ready by the opener - I'm inclined to play him, even though the prudent thing to do, is rest him the first two games.

I think we can handle Arizona and the Jets without DeeBo. Give him the extra 2 weeks.

Yeah, I'm really starting to lean that way.

and the giants too. Let him start practicing week 2-3 and he'll be ready by week 4 at home vs philly

i am not arrogant to think we can just show up and teams will lay down. if he is healthy. no matter who it is. you play your best people
Every game counts. Don't need the season to come down to an inch like last year.

Right. Thinking other teams will just lay down is how we lost to ATL last year.
No update? Is he out??

They'll let us know tomorrow but there's no rush and no need to play him this week.

Hope he's used lightly, I want to see Aiyuk play and see what Aiyuk can do. I want to see Aiyuk's deep speed on a long bomb from Jimmy!

I want to see them both play - both seem like they're ready to play.

They'll both play
I want to see alot of reverse Jet sweeps with Deebo and Aiyuk. Get them involved early in games.
Keep him out, bring him Bach after the two NY games.

Why rest them when they're ready to go?
I still think we should sit Deebo out a couple more weeks at least.

I'm sure he's a fast healer... kinda seems like the type of player to play well through injuries but It's not worth it.
Start him or sit him for fantasy football?

This. I'm puzzled at those saying he should sit out several games if he's cleared to go...

If he's ready to go why not play him? Obviously conditioning could limit total snaps but if he's healthy and cleared medically then he should play.

Yeah, let them play - they're raring to go.
Does anyone know if this is too quick of a turnaround for someone with this type of a fracture or that there is a higher likelihood of a subsequent injury as a result of the former injury? If not, I don't see a reason not to play given he's going to have to get his stamina going sooner rather than later. The only exception to that maybe for the fact that the team may have a higher chance of losing out in the short term with his lack of preparedness or the ability to get injured.

It was a Jones Fracture so when it goes it goes - I don't think anyone can predict, when it'll break again or knows how much rehab is sufficient for it to be healed properly.
