Bummer but expected if you weren't being a homer. Richburg, Blair, Taylor, Deebo, etc...could see that coming a mile away.
Also, with Deebo, no need for him to be cutting on synthetic turf in NY.
But yes, hopefully this isn't a sign of any setback

Isn't 3 weeks dead center of the 12-14 week expected injury window?
Yeah, he's at 11 weeks right now. 3 more weeks should put him in the expected range.
Yeah . . . but you said he would play week 1
Probably a good move. Now they have to get him to slow down on his trying to prove he's a tough guy with all the full speed cuts and all. Relax and allow the fracture to knit solidly so this doesn't end up being a chronic weakness.

Fair enough.
My thoughts were based on the reports of him being so close to being able to go this week. It seems like a big jump from that to needing 3 weeks off. Also Cohn(I know, not the greatest source) reported on the 10th that Deebo wasn't even running on the side while his teammates practiced anymore. I hope I'm wrong and this was all nothing more than Shanny messing with a divisional rival's ability to gameplan.

Better than rushing him and having him hurt it again.

We definitely need to protect Samuel. No need to rush. Hopefully the others can deliver.

Def worried about week 1 more than week 2 or 3 without him. Fkn Cards shut down our run game last two meetings. Will be interesting to see.

It's was silly to assume he was gonna go week 1 recovering from a Jones fracture and not taking part in any off season practices.
I'm fine not having him play vs AZ and both NY teams

Who the f**king is responsible for training our WRs and why has his ass not been fired yet? I've never seen one position sustain so many injuries year after year....

Did you guys really think that Deebo was gonna be ready for week 1 after what happened to Taylor last year?

Taylor had an infection, though. Deebo is infection free.
