the same setback happen to Jet last season.. he's prob done for the season.. team just won't admit it

Lol
the word setback scares me. I hope hes ready for the Eagles game

I'd be surprised if he's 100% back by mid season.
I'm assuming the silence on Instagram from Deebo means he's not close.

It was Taylor not Jet and it lasted so long due to the infection caused by the injury. If we get word Deebo's foot is dealing with an infection then he would be possibly out for the year like Taylor was.

They wouldn't release that information anyways
I don't think it was really a setback. This was the original estimated time frame for his return.

Maybe a setback on being a month ahead of schedule.

Totally different injuries!

Podiatrists (foot specialists) have stated soreness is expected while rehabbing and that his current time line seems about right! It's realistic he can be back week 4

He probably meant Trent Taylor. Give him a break...he's a rookie.

So he's going to come back off ir and practice for one week and play? Sounds unrealistic after his set back

He doesn't make the choice. The team doctors do. Either way he has one more game before he can come IR. Let's worry about Sunday and then we can revisit.

They said 4 Weeks & at least 3-4 games. I'd expect 4 games for sure. Then re evaluate. I doubt he will be ready
While lamenting our current WR situation, our WRs could realistically be Metcalf and Lamb, the only thing we would've in the draft process lost is Kinlaw. Just trying to visualize having healthy WRs. Sigh.

Can Deebo practice once healthy or does he have to wait until his IR designation is lifted?

I was a pedorthist, not a podiatrist, (similar). Part of my career was working with this type of injury. The problem is that part of the foot where his injury occurred gets low blood flow compared to other parts of the foot. Hence, the timeline is difficult to predict. My concern was always that the bone might appear to have healed but was not solid all the way through the fracture line.

Athletes deal with pain all the time. In this case, what he may have been feeling was pain associated with incomplete healing versus normal muscle soreness that comes from an unused area. Admittedly speculation but I have seen it happen.

Good injury news.
