I think this was the case - he was never in football shape. He looked like he added some weight that he couldn't lose.

I think this was the case - he was never in football shape. He looked like he added some weight that he couldn't lose.

I guess catching thousands of tennis balls really helped this guy get in shape huh ??

Yeah, no reason for him to come back for a game or two.

Actually there is (maybe?). I believe in order for us to be able to cut him he has to be healthy.

So if he doesn't play rest of the season then have some bogus surgery or claim he's still hurt and it lasts past his guaranteed deadline until he's "healthy" then we're on the hook.

I have no clue if my assumption is 100% correct but I believe that was what Kaepernick did or was rumored to be his best option.

Obviously, Jimmy playing or not playing may not have any bearing on if he can be designated as healthy or not but.....
