I think he's just tired of the Grant Cohn's of the world asking him the same dumb crap over and over.

Seems to be more of a sore spot with the fans fixated on WR size
As my wife says..size isn't everything

If your parents named you Deebo and you're only 6 feet, you better believe you're ballin out extra hard!

is this guy better than aj? Must be a shanny impulse pick, like joe and cj

Impulse pick? They had him in for an official visit.

Is he better than AJ? Yes. He's more athletic, a better route runner, and a better overall receiver. The only thing AJ has on him is an extra half inch

Well, as long as that extra half inch isn't girth it doesn't really matter.
Deebo is gonna be a straight animal at the WR position.

Wasn't my first choice or even my guy, but I am not down on this pick at all!

Deebo is a machine.
He suffered from injury in his junior season and bad QB.
Would I would prefer AJ Brown? Probably.
But after Dante Pettis who was a bit of a reach last year, I stopped doubting Kyle Shanahan on WR evaluations.
Shanahan knows exactly what he needs in his receivers and his players in general on offense.
He had Samuel in his team on the Senior Bowl.

I think Deebo could become a pretty good player. I just think he was a bit over drafted. Early 2nd is pretty high for him. I like that he is strong and physical. He also seems to have pretty good hands and runs good routes. He is a little short though and not as dynamic or productive as I would really want for this draft status. I think there were better players on the board at multiple positions. They were pushing hard for WR. Which you don't really want to do.

But I will hope for the best for him and hope they find the right way to scheme and utilize him. I don't think he was a terrible pick. I just think they left some potentially better players on the board to push for this WR issue.

When you like a player, then go get him and don't worry about anything else. Fans and internet scouts once again got a ton of picks completely wrong and guys either went much higher or much lower than predicted. Sooner or later everyone needs to stop taking these pre-draft rankings so seriously.

Deebo has everything you want in a playmaking #1 WR reciever and many of us wanted him at #36 and some even wanted to trade up to get him if there was a run on recievers late in the first and he might get plucked early. Luckily for us so many defensive lineman went in the first and we got our #1 ranked reciever at #36.
I've been spoiled these last two drafts. Pettis, Warner, Street, Bosa, and Deebo were all guys I loved.

I just thought it was funny because it is clearly a sore spot for him.

It was great to see him learn from last year and talk about how Deebo and Hurd were the two most physical receivers in their minds. Clearly that was a theme this year.

He did sound pretty defensive. Well, it is just whatever at this point. He also drafted a 6'4'' guy and he brought in Matthews. Maybe its just his way of hedging his bets just in case we still can't it done in the RZ with these newer guys with size questions.

Translation: I just went out and watched his highlights and read his scouting report after trashing the pick
