It will be somewhere around 5 year 125mil with between 50-60 guaranteed. We'll have outs around year 3 when he's turning 29-30 and if he's still producing we'll restructure/extend and/or add void years if need be.

Those numbers don't matter when really looking at players contracts.

I agree with you that these numbers don't matter. It's not the real language of the contract.

However, they DO matter when fans try to make sense and understand what the $25 million is about. It sounds like it's from that contract perspective. It clarifies the confusion.

I hate McClinchey.

Im Deebo Samuel's biggest fan but I would entertain a trade. Hes a player we used a 2nd round pick to aquire and now he is worth a lot more than that only a few years later. We have to at least look at it. As much as I love the player.

Lynch and Kyle should introduce him as 'our franchise player' at the extension presser.

I've always assumed Maiocco IS the official/unofficial voice of the 49ers. True, the 49ers don't leak - unintentionally. John has learned how to be a very savvy GM and controlling the narrative or at least countering with your own in a customer-facing (fans) business where perception is everything means a lot.

I don't think it's that deep at all…especially if you listen to the pod when Matt brought it up. It was clearly a generalization based off a comment from a yr ago…basically anyone can be traded, Kyle even said he himself is tradeable.

I feel like they got other s**t to worry about outside of what the Cohns of the world think. They're talking to deebo's agent and that's all that matters…they don't need to push s**t thru the media, that doesn't help anything.

Kittle's extension happened deep into the summer I'm sure Deebo's will get that far too. This team doesn't rush and no need to right now, we're not even in summer yet let alone the draft

exactly this. there wasn't any story to this. maiocco was just parroting a quote that basically any player is traceable for the right price. which is every front office's philosophy.

Someone wants to offer 3 first round picks for deebo? Bye bye. Not that this would happen but that's the crux of this whole generalization. nothing more to it than that.

He's not worth $25 million a year. He can easily get hurt with his playing style. The money needs to go to Bosa.
