He's also obviously a leader on the team. Maybe THE leader.

Has Deebo ever been in Kyle's doghouse like Pettis/Aiyuk?
Looks like Murray wont play for the Cards without a new deal. Wont be surprised if Deebo does the same thing.

And if they do cave and give Deebo the most guaranteed money for a non QB, How much does Bosa get? $100 Million guaranteed?

I haven't looked at the market amount is for GTD money for both positions but I'm afraid to look. LOL

So was Garoppolo...and most everyone here can't wait to see him gone.

I'm at a point where I'd like to see what the 49ers are offering/DS is asking for before I can make any judgement as to what the 49ers course should be. Unfortunately, a lot of this situation is an unknown, since Trey Lance and his performance plays a big part as to whether I would bring pots of money to Deebo's doorstep.

I think the highest guaranteed money for a WR is Tyreek Hill is $52 Million. For DE, TJ Watt is getting $80 Million guaranteed, Joey Bosa is $78 Million I believe.

I'm not even sure Aiyuk was in a dog dog house. It was more like he was yelled at for jumping on the couch. He wasn't benched. He just wasn't getting throws. Sure, he wasn't getting quite as many snaps the first two games, but he was still playing quite a bit. My guess is that the entire thing came from Aiyuk being pissed off that he wasn't getting the ball when he was open, and then the "conversation" ensued. I base that on absolutely nothing other than the fact that unlike, Pettis, Aiyuk wasn't benched. He just wasn't getting the ball, for the first two games his snap percentage was lower than 67%.

I don't think Deebo can afford to hold out. You don't get paid and you get docked money. Plus if you decide to sit out the entire season, You have to do the whole year over again. You don't get to skip it to free agency.

Deebo is too much of a baller to sit out he has love of the game unlike LeVeon who just wanted to sit around, smoke and create "music"

The difference is, Garoppolo was paid like an elite QB when he had never had a season of elite quarterbacking—it was simply assumed that he would develop into one. He never did. Deebo, meanwhile, had an elite season last year. So Deebo has already produced one season that his contract will demand. The only fear is that it may be a one hit wonder. But Jimmy never even did that much. His contract was based entirely on the hope of his potential. Deebo, should he get what he's asked, will be be getting paid based on hope that he'll maintain his current level of pay. That's a huge difference, to me.

Appreciate that. That gives us the parameters.

Now let's see where they both fall.

The QB positions is, again, held at an entirely different set of standards at almost every conceivable notion, compared to every other position. Your response was based on 'leadership' and I simply countered with JG. As for Deebo....yup...he had an All Pro year, but it's by far the only season he's had that he can stand on. For the record, I am not saying that SF should break the bank, or just trade him outright - again....I have no idea as to what either side is offering/asking.

Yes, QB is the most important position. However, in 2017, prior to the 2018 off-season, Jimmy was NOT the leader of the team the way Deebo is today. That didn't happen until the subsequent months after. Jimmy was not the guy that lit the collective fires of the whole team. He wasn't the guy leading the charge onto the field and setting the tone. He became the steady, calm center in the storm; the rock upon which the guys depended, there is no doubt about that. But I don't think he's ever been the fire, and he certainly wasn't in 2017.
