We sure got quality ROI with the Dee Ford trade over the years....

Most of our in-house developed stars players have been good cap money spent. Can't think of anyone that turned out poorly lately.

lie,, he had a very very very good rookie season.. i can not believe some fans want him to prove it.. he proved it to me last year with his play and i saw what he did. put the team on his back

This is true. I believe he holds the franchise record for yards from scrimmage for a rookie WR (just barely over Jerry Rice).

He's shown his worth - pay the man.

I don't think Jimmy's contract has anything to do with this. His contract has something to do with not signing big free agents(even if Lynch denies it) but has no bearing on Deebo and Bosa's extensions. Their 2022 cap hit is not going to be much different than it is right now.

I hear you and have heard people saying this, but I just don't agree or believe it.

No, Jerry didn't mention it then. He said there were none. But by the end of the season, we had one, and his name was Deebo.

Yup....so for half a season, in his only season, Deebo was a 'dog.' Which is precisely why I'm not gonna just say 'pay the man' because so many of those contracts turn into comments like 'why did you pay that POS?'

Again...I'll let things play out.....

Which is precisely why you DO sign him but put in an out in a couple years, as almost all 49ers contracts possess.

Half a year? Before he was moved to the backfield, Deebo was neck and neck with Kupp in yards. You do recall he shattered Jerry Rice's record for yards after seven games, right? Right then is when they moved him into the backfield part time, and understandably his receiving contribution waned.

So the 49ers can use him at RB, shorten his career, then ditch him in a couple years? No way Deebo goes for that
