I agree. What he did didn't move my feelings about him as a person or player.

My point is there is a huge difference between being upset about it, questioning his worth, or suggesting a trade, and issuing death threats or racist insults. The former is understandable and the latter is not.

I don't do instagrams or facebooks or twitters, so am still struggling to find out what's going on here. Nobody was ever able to explain why anybody should be upset about what he did on his account, but to get so mad about it they'd send death threats? IS there an explanation for getting that triggered?

Ive made this point before. The way our fans hate Jimmy is a reflection of how they treat other players. Its a microcosm of how the fans treat our players. It's not really about Jimmy but he's a prime example.

Being objective isn't hating.

Guys were complaining yesterday they couldn't "insult Jimmy". How is "insulting Jimmy" objective? It's not about football to these guys. They truly dislike him.

Yea, there's explanations for both.

The first group may question Deebo's commitment to the team, among other things, right or wrong.

The second group you'll have to dig into their upbringing, mental state, etc.

While I disagree with the first group, I find their position understandable and within what I would consider normal thinking.

The second group are just bad people.

Because the hostility is there. I'm sorry but I read it every day and the flat out animosity towards the actual person, beyond football, I reiterate... beyond... football... makes this behavior not surprising at all. It's just not Jimmy, it'll be Trey next just like with Kap... Just like with Alex. This fanbase will turn and turn extremely toxic fast. That's what I'm comparing not the players, the toxic fans.

And it's not just our fanbase that is guilty but our most definitely is.

Edit: and I'm not talking about the guys like NY and 5 who actually explain themselves but there are more than a few who legitimately despise the guy(hate was a bit strong) and spend a lot of time doing it.

It happens with every QB that turn out to not work on every team. Some fans just can't take it when you knock their guys.

Deebo deserves to get every nickel he's entitled to, not one penny less or one penny more. He's not dumb, he's trying to sign an extension now. If he blows out his knee like Lattimore tearing 3 out of 4 ligaments, do you think Jed / Paraag will give him a new contract. Not. The average NFL career is about 4 years. He now has his own position and it is very physical.

Same for Bosa.

I'm not going to lose any sleep if they get paid. They are ELITE LEVEL ATHLETES in the top 1% of the top 1%. I'm just a schmoe with no real athletic talent. An Internet Tough Guy as it were.

I agree. I don't hold it against Deebo if he ends up leaving. He has to do what is best for him and his family. Though at the sametime I am not going to hold it against the organization either if the money is just too much. They also have to do what they feel is best for their team and it's future. If he is truly asking for $75 to $80 Million guaranteed, I am not blaming the organization for looking to trade him. I might be one of the few fans who is not that upset because the way I look at it is we either get him signed longterm which would be great or we get a huge haul for him which would also be great. Aslong as he doesn't end up on another NFC west team, The Cowboys,Raiders, Pats, or Chiefs, I will still be rooting for him(when he is not playing the Niners).
