We can turn Deebo into 3 players we had no chance at getting in this years draft. But we have to get blown away with an offer for it to be considered.

There's a sadistic part of me that wants the 49ers to trade Deebo away so they can use the picks to draft the next Javon Kinlaw, Aaron Banks, and Trey Sermon and watch them struggle to win 5 games moving forward.

Deebo is one of the few players in his prime that you can count on one hand in the NFL that can put a team on his back and literally carry them. Good organizations don't trade those players.

At least not until they're past 30.

Deebo is basically a must re-sign. If we don't keep him, we're in trouble. Because even the first overall pick is unlikely to produce someone that good.
I wonder why we haven't heard anything on the Bosa front. I know he has the 5th year option which gives them more time but from what we heard going into this offseason is they would like to get that done this year. Maybe they are waiting until the Deebo situation is resolved and then they will move onto Bosa. Or maybe his camp has no interest in an extension until Deebo's is done so he knows what to ask for. Bosa is not taking less than Deebo, Or even equal to Deebo. If Deebo wants $28 Million, Bosa is going to want $32 Million. If Deebo wants $80 Million guaranteed, Bosa is going to want atleast $90 Million.

It was childish. What leverage do you really think it gives him in his negotiations with the team? What has he gained by it except to make himself the target of the lunatic fringe of the fan base? As far as I can tell he was one of the most popular and well liked players among the fans, all he's really accomplished is to throw a lot of that good will out the door, The team has, at least publicly, said that they want Deebo to be a part of the team for a long time and that their plan is to find a way to get a deal done. He seems to have a really good relationship with Kyle which you'd think would count for something. Perhaps something happened behind closed doors that changed the dynamic, but who knows. The main problem right now is that he hasn't gone on record to just come out and say, this is where I am at with it, which is what a sensible person would do. Instead it's all just cryptic innuendo that has caused a bunch of completely unnecessary drama.

Personally I am inclined to believe his agent may be behind it, or at the very least failed to give him the kind of advice he needed. The smart play would have just been to keep his head down let his agent hash things out with the team and if nothing happened by the time the first mini camps came around then he would be free to sit out and put the team on notice. I think fans would have been far more understanding of that tactic, which is just business, then scrubbing his social media accounts, which makes it seem as though he is being disrespectful of the team, which clearly has not gone down very well. Since I'm not on Instagram or Twitter or anything else like that it doesn't make any difference to me but I can see why it has caused him problems.

You are assuming he did it for leverage and not that he is genuinely hurt by the lack of a deal.

Or, my guess is that Deebo did it because the FO told him he's getting traded and he's not even a niner anymore.

100% accurate. But many here go overboard here over nothing so its not shocking.

Or that he heard they were taking a peek at trade offers to just see what was out there and it angered him.

If he is still here after the draft, He is not getting traded and will get an extension. So I think all Niner fans can relax after April 29th

And I want Deebo to remain a Niner but there is concerns. What will his chemistry with Trey be? What if Aiyuk out performs him? Do you give him $28 Million in 2 years with $75 Million guaranteed? And I feel once you extend Deebo you can't use him as a RB anymore which takes away alot of his value. You are not going to have your $100 Million dollar WR who you just gave $80 Million guaranteed to a bunch of runs up the middle every game. No matter how strong he is.

The Chiefs have this guy named Patrick Mahomes. You ever watch that guy? He's pretty good.

Also, worrying about Deebo's chemistry with Trey is ridiculous. Deebo is going to make Trey's life as a starting NFL QB significantly easier. Trey won't need to throw back shoulder fades or precise out routes from the far hash to get the ball to Deebo. Deebo is quite literally a QB's best friend because of how easy it is to get him the ball.

A ton of 49ers' fans are literally talking themselves into wanting to trade Deebo. Like I said, top 5 dumbest fan base in the NFL.

Based on a previous post about wanting to see him traded away to fail apparently puts you in perfect company then.

That too.

If I had to put money on it, it would be one of the two. Telling him they were fielding offers or actually telling him he's a goner.

They gonna do him like they did Buck.

Well i think any trade talks start at the T. Hill compensation. Then i would look at it.

Either the same deal but a (23)1st or (23-22)2nd+3rd instead of the 4th

and a 3+5 instead of the 4+6.
(22) 1st, 2nd, (*)3rd
(23) 1st(*)2nd, 3rd, 5th

I don't think Deebo's deal has anything to do with Bosa's potential new deal, Bosa was/is always gonna get north of $30M a yr, with $100M GTD, $80M-$85M fully GTD. Bosa will end up, IMO, $32M a yr, Deebo at $25M a yr when those deals are done, not even worried about it, they'll get done, right now we have to focus on the draft, then after that, then I can see something with Deebo getting done, just too close to the draft, you have visits, medical checks, interviews, etc... still going on, plus tweaking the draft board.

Either would be monumentally stupid. Even if the intention is to field offers or trade after failing to agree, you stop at "no" in the negotiations and keep the cards close to the vest instead of jeopardizing trade value.

Agree
Agree as well.
However there is one primary issue, Deebo should not get the super high contract after only playing mostly most of the last season, seasons before had sitting injury no playing for the most part. How about $17 million max a year till there's greater proof..
