2019 Missed 4 games
2020 Missed 9 games
2021 Missed 4 games

I am the one of the biggest fans of Deebo anywhere. But you can't deny the problems he has had with soft tissue injuries (hamstring specifically) and ankles. Couple that with his previous weight problems and you have to judge the possibility (albeit minimal) that he becomes complacent after getting paid.

What?

Where are you getting missed 4 games in 2019 and 4 games this past season? Kittle & Bosa have missed more games then he has…shouldn't pay them either, eh?

I mean.... not sure you should be using Kittle for your argument to pay Deebo.

Right? It's like people are making s**t up now. My god pay the dude and let's go.

they don't spend money on free agency (and have a pretty poor track record when they do). They focus on paying their own and have the highest paid position in the sport on a rookie contract basically thru the life of deebo's contract

Guess we shouldn't have paid Trent Williams then, he's played in just 2 full seasons since he came into the league.

why not use Kittle? He's one of the best players at his position. Football players get hurt, facts of life.
Love Deebo, but based on his injure history, I would rather trade him now than pay him a huge lump sum of money. Sorry

Kittle hasn't exactly lived up to his contract. Not all of it his fault. Doesn't change the fact he has his fair share of games where he's invisible.

This team would be utter garbage using this logic. No Kittle, No Silverback, No Bosa.

And we better not pay Bosa. He's blow out his knee twice already. i say we trade him and just draft his replacement

Bosa is a no brainer. You can't replace numbers of a dominant edge rusher by scheme. On defense you truly do need dogs.

Offensively, you can scheme production from positions.

That said, Kittle's extension wasn't that outrageous and was also a no brainer.

Nice find.

But he's a 49er which means every player on this team has a 90% chance of missing games next year.

It's literally, our identity. The REAL "49ers way"

The Jags are to blame here. Giving Kirk $18 Million. What the hell was that?

I'm not advocating for it but there is an argument that paying Kittle was actually a bad business move. Not one I'm making but there are legitimate arguments against it.
