Thought trade was right move. Though I didn't like the Kinlaw selection.

There's arguments to be made about playing every single player...hell Watson just got $230M FULLY gtd.
Again that's what should matter in contract debate in here NOT OMG his cap hit on avg is whatever.
What's the point of having money if you're not gonna pay the good players...we're not the Oakland As
I may be confused but wasn't it you posting 4209 times… "OMG Jimmy's cap hit for 2021 is etc"
When people pointed out his avg yearly was at like middle of the pack, then it didn't matter..

I didn't mind the trade or pick at the time, I mean I was shocked & mad, but I get it, it's a business, plus without the trade we don't get Aiyuk, as we traded back a pick, got an extra pick that was used to trade up for Aiyuk.
I believe things will get done soon with Deebo, idk how soon, but they need to get him extended, do it now, before his price goes up even higher, but what I wonder is who signs first, Deebo, McLaurin, or Brown? All have the same agent, either way he gets to say he got so & so this much, I wonder if it's a which wants to really sign first.

Deebo needs to realize that much of his success this season was also do in part Kyle's playcalling and play design. If traded (hope not) would he be able to replicate the same success with another coach?? I don't think so, regardless I hope the deal gets done which I think it will as soon as they trade/release Jimmy.

All part of the negotiation side of things - deleting all team stuff from your social media, threatening to sit out practice, fans turning on you because you're not taking a team friendly deal, getting death threats

I really enjoy watching Deebo as a player. I would like for him to be a lifelong 49er. But I don't know that paying him as much as he is asking for makes sense for the team.
He is a unique talent. He was most of our offense in 2021. But I'm starting to think it makes more sense to trade him. He would bring a 1st and 2nd in this years draft. Take the best WR we can get with the 1, and whatever makes sense with the 2. Maybe even another WR.
Bottom line is we can't pay everyone mega deals. You end up with a handful of stars, and can't win anything because they are surrounded by scrubs.
Were going to end up with more than 50% of our cap tied up in like 5 players in the next couple years.
Nothing against Deebo. He is one of my favorite players. But I'd rather trade him than pay him 28-30mil a year. I don't fault him for wanting to get paid. I just don't know that it would be the best investment for the team.
Bosa would be a lot harder to replace than Deebo.
I'm sure I'll get flamed for saying it, but that's ok. It's just one fan's opinion. We don't all have to agree.
